Not too far away there is a small town. All of the little kids would play with each other. Slowly as time passed that group dispersed and left one lost boy alone. He wanted to be accepted again, he wanted friends again, and he wanted to smile again.

Years passed and he met a girl. This girl became his friend and they fell in love. "Love always wins" the people of the town would shout as the couple passed by.

The next day passed and the boy had a bruises on his arm. The townspeople would still shout "love always wins," they never questioned the boy. The day after he had a bruised eye and a few scratches on his body. His head hung low when he walked and yet he was not questioned,"love always wins" is all they would say.

More days passed and the worse the boy looked, hand marks on his face and arms and broken bones. All the people could say was "love always wins" as the couple would pass. The girl always smiled and laughed with the people. She had them believe he was fine. The citizens never thought he needed help.

He needed so much help though. Every night he was dealt beatings and cuss words. Yells and bangs. He was in a hole with no escape. He thought that this is what he deserved. This is what he asked for; he had friends again, he was accepted by others again...but he never smiled again. He only received pain and misery. Fake smiles casting over his torment. Soft kind words to cover the bruises and the beatings.

He felt selfish for feeling sad. He had so much now and he deserved what the girl threw at him. He never believed that he could escape the lies and the torture so he accepted it. He hated this punishment though.

Later that night the girl was asleep and the boy was on the floor in a bloodied mess. His nose was broken from the punch to his face. He slowly stood up and went to his room. Grabbing a rope and a chair, the boy scratched down a down a short paragraph on a piece of paler with a pen. He set up his rope and then stood on the chair. The boy stared through the window and up at the moon. He faintly smiled at the thought of release from the hell he has lived. Tears slowly rolled down his face as the chair tipped. Death slowly gripped him as he slowly fell into the darkness and he took his last breath.

The next morning he was found dead. The town read his note:
To anyone who reads this, love doesn't win. I lived a lonely life. I was isolated from friends for the longest while until a met a girl. She showered me with love at first and the townspeople had loved me. That love has turned into beatings and the townspeople turned their heads. This is what i deserved for praying so hard for friends and still wanting more. I don't deserve what I received. I feel like this world was not ready to have me. Perhaps I will come back in another time and I will be happier.
