Fame or Us

Asher's P.O.V
I shut the door and go to the car, I drive to my audition. My hands get sweaty on the drive there, "Breath Asher, it's going to be fine" I say to myself. I pull up at a stop light, and a girl in the car next to me waves at me and winks. I nod my head at her and then roll my window up, after it rolls up I smile satisfied with myself. I pull into the parking lot, and I walk into the office. "How may I help you sir" the receptionist asks politely. "I have an audition for the role of the Flash" I state firmly, "alright just take a seat and she'll be ready for you in a little" The receptionist states. I sit down and stare at the wall, "this is it Asher, this is your big break" I think to myself as I take a deep breath. "Mr Garner, she's ready for you" the receptionist says, I stand up and walk in the room and when I see who the Director is my heart stops. "That's the girl from the stop light" I think to myself, "Hi there cutie" she says. "Um hi" I respond as I sit down uncomfortably, she hands me my lines and tells me to start. I do all my lines good, and set the script down and let a big breath out. "Ok well here's the thing, that was amazing. Your very talented. But" the Director says. "But what" I ask, "Well I haven't seen a man like you in a very long time" she starts to lean across the desk. "Maybe you can convince me to hire you" she starts leaning in for a kiss, I stand up and back away. "Woah hold up, I have a girlfriend and I want to actually earn my parts" I state. She walks up to me and puts her card in my jean pocket, "Ok well call me if you change your mind, you have two days before I choose someone who's not you" she says with a smile. I back out of the room and drive off, I get home and collapse on the couch and stare off in space. I then realize Alyssa isn't home, I pull out my phone and text her. "Hey sweetheart. I just got home and you aren't here. Where are you. I thought it was just lunch" I ask. She replies with "Ethan needed me to go get some errands done. I'll be home in 30 minutes! Xoxo." I sit at home every once and awhile Zoning off, and then snapping back into reality. Alyssa walks in the door and run to her and hug her and kiss her. We continue on with the night and then it all shifted. "They do want us to have a reality show. Not just any reality show though. A better one that has both the bad and the good in it. Not just focusing on cat fights" Alyssa says. "I don't know" I say while I'm thinking "A reality show? Cameras following me everywhere. Watching my every move, our every move. I can't tell her I don't want to, that will crush her". Once it's 10 Pm we both crawl into bed, and say our goodnights.

**Dream state**
"I can't believe you! Your so fucking selfish" Alyssa yells at me. "What are you talking about?! She gave me her business card it's not that big of a deal" I yell back. "Yes it is! I'm so done with you. I hate you!! We. Are. OVER!" Alyssa screams and then slams the door.

**Reality**
I bolt up in bed, sweat beating down my head, my breath deep and heavy. Alyssa wakes up and sits up, "Babe what's wrong? What happened?". Alyssa startles me, and I slightly jump, "uh um nothing, I'm ok. Go back to bed, I'm just going to watch TV" I say as I start to get out of bed. "Ok if your sure" Alyssa says already falling back asleep. I walk into the closet and grab the card out of my jeans, and I walk into the living room. I pull out my phone and call the number, it goes to voice mail. "Hi this is Asher Garner, I just wanted to say I will never ever take your insane and disgusting deal" I say and hang up the phone. I take the card and set it on fire and throw it in the fireplace. I go back into bed and fall asleep, as I curl up with Alyssa.

The next day I wake up and go check my emails, I have one titled The Flash. I open it up and it reads, "Congratulations, you have been chosen to play The Flash in the film Flashpoint. We will meet with you and your manager at the audition building at 11 O'clock to discuss terms". "BABE! Come here!" I yell, Alyssa comes running "What what's wrong?" She asks. I point at the screen bouncing up and down like a little kid. "Oh my god babe!! I knew you could do it!" Alyssa pulls me close and hugs me and kisses me. "You better go get ready for your meeting then" Alyssa states, "Your right, thanks baby I love you so much".  I run and take a shower and get changed, I give Alyssa a kiss and walk out the door. I drive to my audition and jam out to music the whole way, I pull in the parking lot. I walk in the door and the director is there to greet me, she smiles. "Congratulations Mr Garner" she says, "Thank you" I respond "So I was just wondering, how did I get the part? I didn't do what you want" I state. "Your right, you didn't do what I asked. And that's exactly why you got the part" she says. I give her a confused look, She laughs. "It was a test, we wanted to see if you would take the offer or not. We have already turned down 5 guys for taking the offer, you're the only one who didn't take it" She says with a smile. "Wow, I'm shocked, I can't believe this is real" I say, "Well it is real, now let's go have our meeting" she says and leads me to the office. After the meeting is over I text Alyssa, "Hey baby girl, it's real! I got the part! You want to meet for lunch?" I send the text and wait for a response.
