The Pharaoh woke up the next morning to go for a ride on his horse, only to find (Y/N) at the stables.  He smiled and walked over to her and put a hand on her shoulder.  She placed her hand on his and smiled as she looked up at him.

"You are up early (Y/N). Is there any reason?" He asked.

"I need to do something and I do not want you to get involved.  I have to know if Bakura got my sister's power and how much he received."

"Please do not go alone.  Let me come with you, I do not think it is wise to face Bakura without help.

"You do know I can just spy as a spider on a wall?  I am a shape shifter."

"(Y/N) I know that, but I cannot bear to think of loosing you.  You mean more to me than I could imagine."

"Pharaoh, please let me go.  I am doing this to protect people and if this plan does not work, then I die helping people."  She said.

"No, I do not want you to go.  We both know that Bakura will come eventually, we will have the home advantage when he comes to us.  He will be here soon if he realizes he has this power."  He said, still trying to get her to stay.

"Every second we wait both he and his Diabound grow stronger.  You do realize that Pharaoh?"

"I know that, and please call me Atem."  He said.

He looked her directly in the eye and kissed her quickly before she could say anything back.  When they broke for air she looked at him again an put her horse back in its stall.

"Fine.  I will stay and wait for him to come to us.   Why did you come here Atem?"  She asked with a small smirk.

"I came to go for a ride myself, but would you care to join me?"  He said.

"Of course, I could not refuse the King."  She said getting the horse back out of the stall and he got his ready.

They rode together for almost an hour over the desert sands.  She rode side saddle right next to him, but she was still trapped in her own thoughts about Bakura and Ismen.  Atem noticed too, but said nothing about it and just wanted her to clear her mind.  He did not know what to do to help because he was also thinking about Bakura.  If he can defeat me and trap me in the Shadow Realm once without this power he could do it again, or worse he could hurt (Y/N) and my people.   They rode in silence for another hour and both of them gradually began to calm down as best they could.

On the way back to the Palace a dark portal opened up behind them and a shockwave hit (Y/N) in the back and she winced as she fell off her horse and on to the sand.  The Pharaoh quickly got off his horse, kneelt beside her and picked her up and looked into her eyes still full of pain.  Bakura and his Diabound emerged from the portal.  Bakura had a wicked and evil smirk on his face.

"Seems she was easier to surprise than I thought.  I never thought you of all people would aid her after all she has done."

"Bakura what have you done to her?" He asked still holding her close to him.

"Not what I have done, but if you want to know so badly Diabound has one for you too.  Attack him Diabound." He said pointing to the Pharaoh.

"Atem, No!" (Y/N) said using any strength she had left to push him down or out of the way, whatever she could do.

Out of nowhere a bright red dragon with two mouths blocked the hit, but Atem still felt it and winced from the pain.

"Slifer, take this to the sky and try to buy us time for as long as you can."  He said hoisting himself and then (Y/N) held her in his arms and rode off as fast as the horse could carry both of them.  Bakura emerged from another portal in front of them, making the horse jump up on its back legs and the two fell off.  Bakura looked at them and smirked again.

"I think it is going to be harder to run away since Ismen and I wed."

"So it is true." (Y/N) said trying to get up, but she still could not get in her feet and could barely lift herself with her upper body.

"Yes it is.  She gave me this power with our vows and now together we can defeat both of you."  He said showing off the gold band on his finger.

She was in shock, she knew this all along, but she felt a chill run down her spine upon hearing the words from Bakura.  Atem looked her and noticed the pure shock in her face which filled his with concern.

"You have got to be humoring me. You two together like this."  Bakura was laughing very hard at them.

"What are you talking bout Bakura."  Atem snapped.

"Ha you mean to tell me you do not care for each other like Ismen and I for each other."

"He may not for me, but I do for him, so Bakura if you do not want an angry Mystic on your hands I suggest you leave before I hurt you."  (Y/N) said getting ready to shape shift into a jackal.

When she changed the Pharaoh looked in shock as the woman changed into the jackal and she jumped on Bakura and bit his leg.  As Bakura winced from the pain she changed into a bird and tried to claw at him, but he caught her by the wing and nearly broke it in his grip.  She changed back to a woman and Bakura kept his grip on her and held her wrist as tight as he could.  He opened up another portal with a dark shadow of a glow and threw her into it.  The Pharaoh watched in shock and called for (Y/N)as if she could hear him on the other side and Bakura walked into it in a calm and composed manner and it closed right behind him before the Pharaoh could run over and try to jump in and save her.

"(Y/N) I will find you, I promise.  I feel the same way and even if you cannot hear me now I still promise this."  He said and he picked up one of the necklaces she wore that fell off when she turned into a bird, but there was something inside the obelisk shaped pendant.  There was a liquid inside with an opal sheen that and the thing that was stranger was how it moved and how it swirled up into the edges of the glass.  He did not know what it was so he put it around his neck and inside of his cape.
