A Mystic Queen (Atem x Reader)

Chapter 12

Atem was in shock.  He felt his heart race so fast he thought he was going to fall.  (Y/N) looked at him from the balcony and smiled at him.

"I thought you would be happy to see me.  How long has it been Pharaoh?"  She said smiling ear to ear.

"I am happy to see you.  I have never been this glad to see anyone in my entire life.  You look different."  He said and carried her up from the balcony and spun her around. "It has been too long."

(Y/N) kissed him before he could tell her how many days she was dead.  She looked into his eyes again and held his cape from behind his neck.

"Are you referring to the opal stone in  my chest and the gold markings all over me?"  She said still in his arms.

"Well yes, those things do make you look slightly different."  They both snickered at his last comment.  "Also, your gown is different."

"Yes it is."  The gown was (F/C) with a gold band that tied around her waist. It had a slit on both sides of th skirt that went past her knee.

They just looked at eachother and then walked back to the throne room hand in hand.  Shada looked at them both and smirked.  The Pharaoh noticed this.

"Shada, did you know she was awake?"  He asked.

"She told me not to tell you.  She wanted to see you herself." He said.

Seto was even shocked to see her again.  Isis and Mahad were also very happy to see her again and Isis went over to hug her.  "I knew I was not wrong."  Isis said.  They broke the hug and that is when Seto and Aknadin walked over to her.  

"Well, I personally thought you would wake up sooner."  Seto said.

"Seto, how many people do you know that were dead and now are looking at you right now"  Atem said.

"Just one.  Pharaoh, how come she looks so different?"  Aknadin asked.

"I know you are not talking to me, but I look different because the Pharaoh saved me by putting this stone in my chest and the markings just formed around the stone making me into the mystic that stands before you today.  However, as nice as it is to see all of you, even you Seto, Bakura and Ismen are still out there and I think it is time we stop them, because they will not stop until they achieve their goal."  (Y/N) said.

"And how do you suppose we do that?"  Seto asked.

"Seto, we have stayed and waited for them to come to us, but it is time for us to go on the offensive."  She said.

"What do you mean?  Attack them first."  Atem asked.

"I am going to need to talk to you alone." She said and started for the palace exit.

Atem followed after her and she stood just outside and her gown was blowing in the wind.  He stood beside her and put a hand on her shoulder.

"Atem, where is the other tear?"  

"It was on my arm, then I think it settled in my crown."  He said "Why is it important?"

"It means you can have a part of my power without us having to be married.  I just need to decide what to give you.  What doyou want?"

"I have no idea."

"How about the same thing as Bakura, but not in an evil way.  Pulling people out of the Shadow realm."  She asked.

"That would be perfect."

"Consider it yours." She said and put a hand on his heart and from that point on, he was able to pull people out of the Shadow Realm.  

Atem felt the power go through him slowly.  The new power overwhelmed him.  (Y/N) looked at him and held his other hand to help him steady himself.  "Are you alright?" She asked.

"I am fine, but now it is time for me to ask you a question.  Would you become my queen when all this is over?" He said and he spun  her to look him in the eye as she gave her answer.

"Atem, yes, a thousand times yes."  She said and picked her up by her waist and when he put her down he kissed her.  She held on to his cape tightly with her hands. "Why wait until this is over?  Why not marry tonight?"  (Y/N) said and Atem was shocked.

"Very well.  Can you imagine what Seto is going to say."  Atem said.

"Something like 'How can you do this?  She  is a Mystic and dangerous.'"  (Y/N)mimicked causing Atem to snicker.

(Y/N) was perfectly fine if there was none at all.  She just wanted  the two of them together with no worries of Bakura, Ismen, or anything that had been trying to destroy them on her mind.  Atem agreed about not having a ceremony.  He also just wanted to be with her and nothing else mattered.  When nightfall came they met outside the palace and said some vows to each other.  (Y/N) wore a plain white gown and a golden snake headband.  Atem wore a white tunic with a gold band at the waist and his usual cape and the gold that went around it.

"I promise to always protect and love you for the rest of our lives no matter how long they both last.  I will always cherish you and hope to show you every moment of every day."  (Y/N) said.

"I will always do anything to keep you safe.  I promise to never leave your side through anything that tries t come between us."
