The hospital was a blur.

Erik didn't take his eyes off of you the entire trip there. He couldn't catch what the paramedics were saying, and sometimes completely ignored their questions. 

"How did this happen?"

"..."

"Sir?"

"..."

"Did you know she was pregnant?"

"..."

Eventually, they decided to question him at the hospital, where he wouldn't be distracted by your face. He put up quite a fight, but was eventually forced to stay in the waiting room. His legs wouldn't stop moving, and he had a threatening look on his face. The nurse almost didn't want to walk up to him.

"Um..Mr. Stevens?" Erik shot up from his seat  startling the nurse. "Yes? What's wrong? Is she okay?"

"She's fine. And thankfully, she will be able to conceive again." Erik relaxed and plopped back into his chair. An infertile queen doesn't bode well for the future of any kingdom nor marriage.

"Might I ask, do you know what happened?"

"She slipped down the steps." Erik lied, smoothly. "I had spilled a drink at the top and left to find a paper towel when I heard her yell and crashing down the steps." He thought of himself as a sly fox. The nurse however, didn't buy it. I don't want to jump to conclusions, she thought. I better interrogate him.

"What drink?"

"Water."

"How did she fall?"

"I was in the other room but I heard her running so she must have slipped forward causing her to fall on her stomach."

"Why was she running?"

"She must've heard the microwave go off. She does that all the time." Erik knew the nurse was onto him. He didn't sweat it though, he knew how to lie to keep people much more dangerous than her off of his trail. The nurse was still hesitant, but she let it go.

"She will be discharged tomorrow." Then she walks away. Erik sighs and walks out of the hospital. He would be sleeping alone for the first time in a while now. Well...he guesses he could call up Linda...

Nigga what? Erik rolls his eyes as he's reminded why he can't be left alone.Your girl just had a whole accidental abortion and you tryna fuck another hoe? Are you serious?
