Baby please come back
It wasn't you
Baby it was me
Maybe our relationship
Isn't as crazy as it seems
Maybe that's what happens
When a tornado meets a volcano

It was by far, the sleaziest most disgusting hotel you had ever been in. It was in a pretty bad part of town and as expected, you saw some pretty questionable things happening. Some guy was getting jumped in an alley, a few crackheads and lots of prostitutes. As soon as you walked in the lobby, there were a few waiting around, obviously already done with their job and not looking to stay any longer. Their hair was a mess, and their makeup was dried up and cascading down their face. You cringed. This is not the type of place you wanted to be in. However, it was tremendously; almost criminally cheap. And that's what you needed.

"Are their any free rooms on the top floor?" you ask the clerk. You wanted to be as secluded as possible.

The clerk looked surprised. He obviously didn't get clientele like you. He was used to seeing scantily clad girls who almost always have a man at their side. And the next day, that same man is walking out the motel door and never coming back.

"Um, yeah. The last one." he rang you up and handed you a key. You took it eagerly and practically raced towards the elevator where you slammed you back against the wall and sighed. "It's okay, Y/N," you told yourself. "This is just a starting point. Everyone has to start from somewhere. You won't be here forever so-" you got cut off by the elevator door opening. In came a handsome man, most likely around your age. He smiled at you. You smiled back and looked down.

"Looks like we're going to the same floor." he said. You jumped a bit, obviously not expecting him to say anything.

He chuckled. "Sorry, neighbor. You don't look like you work here."

"Oh, um, I-I don't...I don't work here."

"I can tell. So, what's a girl like you doing here?"

"Um..I just need a place to stay. I'm kind of short on money." you answer truthfully.

"Oh." he says. "Well, what's your name?"

"Y/N."

"Michael." he says. "Nice to meet you."

"Same here." As if on cue, the door opens.

"Where's your room?" you ask. He checks his key card. "Room 912."

You're room 914. Isn't God lovely?

"Oh wow, I'm right next to you." Michael's smile got wider. "That's great.

You both walked to your rooms striking up a nice conversation about anime. You were surprised at his extensive knowledge about one of your favorites, Blue Exorcist. Not a lot of people you know have even heard about it.

"Anyway, Shiemi was the worst character by far." you told him.

"Why? She was so nice and humble-"

"What she was was annoying and ultimately useless- except for that one time during their exam in the first few episodes, but that's about it."

"Yeah okay. You're just saying that because she was Rin's love interest." You looked at him like he was crazy.

"What does that have to do with anything?" He shakes his head and laughs while putting the key card into the door. It clicks. "Because you probably had a crush on him."

You open your mouth to retaliate, but quickly shut it when you realized he's right. Both of you laugh, not wanting the conversation to be over. "Well, I guess I'll see you some other time-"
