A month into classes left me settling into a routine. Work kept me just busy enough to give me a reprieve from my assignments. If it hadn't been for that little time away, I would have probably shut myself off from the world, and turned into some weird hermit. Of course, Ry is a huge help to. Making sure to pull me away long enough to eat and remind me to buy groceries. The weather steadily getting colder makes me not want to go outside at all, so keeping food around is a plus so I don't have to eat out all the time.
Chloe and Brax, seemed to work through their issues. With her spirits lifted, it's brought back the girl I met that first day at the coffee shop. Her sassiness back in full swing, brings me much needed laughter during our shifts together. It has me enjoying coming to work, instead of dreading it.
Shuffling with the crowd entering the familiar class room, I find myself searching for him. As usual, he's seated behind the small desk drinking his morning coffee from his travel mug. Flashing me a quick smile he turns his attention back to the papers spread out in front of him. Taking my seat, I hurry to pull out my laptop from my bag before tucking my beanie away.
Her voice cut through me like nails dragging slowly down a chalkboard. "Did you see the jeans he's wearing?"
I'm pretty sure her name was Sarah... Sofie... Sadie? I couldn't remember, because, I always referred to her as Ass Whisperer. Never did it fail; not one day passed that she didn't sit beside me rambling on and on about Ry. Things she wanted to do to him, or, what she wished he'd do to her. What he was wearing. How cute his messy hair was today. Pointing out each and every time that stupid dimple appeared. And she said all of this, as if I couldn't see it for myself. I wanted to tell her to shut up he was my best friend, which meant, I already knew everything she felt she needed to share with me. But, I decided it would just make her gushing worse, I figured it would turn her comments into questions, and I was not about to sit and share private information with her, about my best friend.
"No, I didn't notice." I answered not bothering to look at her.
"Trust me, you should, his ass is wrapped up so tight, I can see the outline of his briefs." She purred beside me.
Rolling my eyes, not bothering to even try to comment on what she'd said, however, I did feel the need to take a sneak peek for myself. I'd warned him numerous times not to give her any reason to drive me crazier than she already did. He always laughed, even though I didn't find anything funny about my warnings. Sonofabitch! She was right. The jeans he wore today left nothing to the imagination where his ass was concerned. Watching him as he stood writing on the smart board, gathering my rant in my head, so I could unleash on him after class.
This morning when I woke up, I had such high hopes for today. I'd went to bed early last night and gotten plenty of sleep. So, when my alarm clock went off, I woke up feeling refreshed and happy it was Friday. However, one minute spent beside ass whisperer had my good mood shifting gears. I tried focusing on Mr. Crogan, hoping his booming voice would drowned her whispery one out. But, of course I wasn't blessed with any luck, the proof evident when her damn whispering soared above all the other noise in the room. It was like a magnet to my ears.
The end of class couldn't come fast enough. By the time Mr. Crogan bellowed out our assignment, I felt like I might go stir crazy if I didn't get away from her. Honestly, I don't think the girl shut up during the entire class. It felt like every second was filled with Ryder comments. And to add to my frustration, each comment seemed to get filthier as the seconds ticked by.
By the time he spoke to me after class, I literally felt like ripping his head off. "What the hell were you thinking?" Scolding him as we walked down the hall.
