Well That Was Unexpected

"And that is how I got stuck in Katherine Peirce's trap." Damon sighed after finishing his story about a doppelganger that resembled Elena.

"Sheesh. Damon, that was rough." I exhaled. My turn.

As if Damon could read my mind he said, "Go ahead." Then smirked and took a gulp of his drink.

I took a sip, I was going to need it if we were to continue our drunk confessions.

"Well, it started when I arrived in Australia for summer break." I sighed, thinking about all the accents I heard during that trip.

I freaking love accents.

"And I met this girl who happened to agree to let me stay with her due to how our family was connected. I had been talking to her for about a year at that point and it was safe to say she was one of my best friends. So I met up with her and she took me back to her place, showed me my room and around town.

"One night, we went to a party, got drunk, went driving, got in an accident, I killed her, Got this dumb ass curse, there was a dude and yeah." I'm finished talking about the subject of her at the moment.

"You got turned due to a shitty car accident?" I nodded. "That's the dumbest thing I have heard."

"Yeah, that's pretty much what goes through my head every full moon." I muttered.

"Well, was that dude a romantic interest?" Damon looked at me with a curious glint in his eye.

I took a deep breath. "His name was John, he was there when she was killed, he was a vampire and wasn't really freaked out. I was honestly in love with the man. He was the only one there for me. .. but one day he just up and left."

"So basically we're on the same boat here, both changed into supernatural creatures against our will and both left behind by the love of our lives." In a some messed up way, Damon was right.

Damon walked over and refilled the glass I held in my hand.

"Thanks." I muttered.

"After these past three or so hours, we should be allowed to get completely shitfaced."

I smiled in agreement with him and threw my drink back and winced at how strong the liquid was.

"Let's go clubbing." Damon says, walking towards the door.

"I'm down." I said following the pursuit. I stopped then looked at my attire. "Perhaps we should run to the outlet mall before we go?" I look up to Damon to see him, mischievously smirking in my direction.

"I don't know Andy, I'm liking this look on you."

"Well, in that case, Damon, I'm sure you'll like it better in a tight short black dress." I smirked back, turning towards the door.

****

"Which one?" I held up two black dresses, in my left was the dress with lacy sleeves and my right one with a low cut front and the back cut out.

"The one on the right. It's sexy." Damon smirked.

"This one it is I guess..." I trailed off looking at Damon strangely.

"What?" he shrugged.

I laughed, walking to the register.

"Hello! did you find everything okay?" the lady gave a fake smile.

"Yuperoni!" I smiled, Damon walking up to me, resting his arm on my shoulders. The lady, Jamie, by the looks of her name tag, looked at him with lustful eyes.

I laughed softly and her face suddenly turned into some witch, and if looks could kill, man, I'd be in a coffin.

I couldn't help but laugh though. She just seemed so thirsty from the way she was looking at Damon like that.

"What are you laughing at?"

"I just can't help it." I chuckled.

"Are you getting jealous?" She smirked. Quite evilly, might I add.

"Of what exactly?" I stopped laughing, becoming serious.

"Well, obviously your boyfriend has a thing for me." She did a little hair flip thing.

What the hell is she talking about? He hasn't said one word?

"Damon isn-" Then Damon cut me off.

"I'm not interested in anyone but my girlfriend here." Damon smiled, sliding his arm from my shoulders to my waist.

"Wait what?" I looked at him.

He smiled looking down at me, then winked.

"Come on babe, just pay for the dress so we can get out of here."

Okay then...

I paid for the dress, but not before I got a deadly look from the store clerk.

Damon and I walked out of the store with his arm still around my waist.

"So Damon."

"Hmm?" he looked towards me.

"What was that whole ordeal about?"

"What was that whole ordeal about?" He replied.

"Well, you got all defensive."

"Of course I would get 'all defensive', you are one of my few, dare I say it, friends." He shrugged.

I thought about it. "Well, I guess that makes sense." I shrugged as well.

Damon removed his arm from around my waist and turned to look into my eyes. He stared me for a few seconds before he slowly starting to lean in.

Acting upon instinct I started to lean in as well.

The second our lips collided it felt like nothing special really... It's sort of just felt like kissing a really good kisser is all... And man was he a good kisser.

"Well, that was weird. " I said, breathless after our lips were detached.

"Yeah, you could say that again."

"You're a good kisser and all, but I didn't really feel anything with that one Damon."

"Yeah, you're right. You're a pretty Damn good kisser yourself but I didn't really feel anything there either."

"I mean, it wouldn't hurt to, Ya know. We've all got our needs." I said shyly.

"I agree completely. What do you say about us getting out of here?" He smirked and I nodded, getting into the car.
