Luke fell to his knees, shocked by the sudden pain of the blast wound to his waist.
"Luke!" Han raced forward, quickly catching Luke before his friend could fall face down in the dirt.
"Luke, it's ok, I got you Kid." Han spoke gently as Luke remained silent, shocked. But shock could kill him. Han bit his lip, pushing back his own panic as he slowly laid Luke on the ground.
Luke's azure blue eyes were wide as he looked for Han's face. "Han..." Luke whispered fearfully.
Han quickly grabbed Luke's flesh hand and squeezed it gently. "You're gonna be alright, you'll be ok, just focus on my voice Kid. You need to be calm." Han tried to reassure his friend as he quickly rummaged through their knapsack, Luke having been quick enough to grab it.
Han hastily found the med kit Leia had insisted they take. Finding a bacta injector he turned back to Luke. "It's alright Kid, just breathe."
"Han wait." Luke spoke urgently, his voice strained as the hot pain from his wound crawled along his body.
"Luke don't be stupid." Han retorted, parting Luke's robes as the Jedi tensed and bit back a small cry.
"Han... listen to me." Luke demanded desperately, he couldn't let Han waste their medical supplies. Rolling onto his left side Luke muffled another cry as he placed his flesh hand over his wound.
"Luke!" Han hissed but paused as the Jedi's hand glowed faintly against the blast mark, Luke's face twisting in concentration before relaxing slowly, his labored breath evening out slightly.
"What did you do?" Han asked with a frown as Luke calmed down, not in as much pain now.
Luke rolled over, resting on his back with a tired sigh as he gave Han a half grin. "You really think, that I do nothing in my room all day?" He asked with a weak attempt at sounding alright.
Han opened his mouth to retort but couldn't find the words to speak as silence fell over the two friends save for Luke's labored breath. Finally though Han did speak. "You still need more help then your Jedi mumbo jumbo, Luke."
But Luke only shook his head. "You might need the bacta, Han. I think the people who attacked us were bounty hunters, they were skilled enough to catch me off guard..."
Han sighed but nodded, Luke could be as stubborn as Leia if he chose to be. Apparently Skywalkers were a stubborn lot, and besides, Han couldn't argue with Luke's logic. It was very seldom that Luke could be caught off guard and injured in the process.
Han chewed his mouth in frustration. "Just my luck that the Jedi gets shot." He grumbled lowly.
"I'm sorry." Luke whispered apologetically, having heard Han's grumbling.
Han shook his head. "Get some rest." He replied. "We should at least wrap that up though, then I'll try our comms. Though I doubt it'll work, bounty hunters always jam their target's comms."
Luke nodded slowly, he was tired, the dull pain of his wound ached as Han grabbed some bandages and after a bit of a struggle, was able to securely wrap up Luke's wound.
Han then grabbed their comm. "Come on, don't fail me now... Blast it!" Han hissed angrily when nothing happened.
Luke blinked and glanced at Han as the irritated smuggler placed the comm in his pocket. "I take it there will be no reinforcements." He asked calmly.
Han shook his head. "Get some rest, Kid. With some luck we'll make it back to Leia before those bounty hunters kill us."
"We need to keep moving." Luke stated, trying to get up only to wince painfully. Han was by Luke's side in an instant, pushing the Jedi back to the ground.
