A tall, distinguished boy curled his hands around the soft hands of his younger brother William, whose legs dangled from the tall boy's broad shoulders.

"Daniel, where are you taking me?" William asked with profound curiosity.

"You'll know once we get there," Daniel explained. "You should learn to be more patient. After all, patience is a virtue."

William hardly knew of patience, for he had only just turned twelve. Daniel and William carried on through the streets of a bustling city, cars rushing by and people walking past. Begging and pleading, William groaned. He so badly wanted to know where his older brother Daniel was taking him.

"Man, you really are a handful," Daniel laughed. He turned his head upwards to look into William's sky blue eyes. William's brown hair swayed in the wind. He perked his round ears to hear sounds of children joyfully screaming. What sounded quite like amusement park music rang for all to hear. William grew excited as Daniel turned a corner and all he could see was the flashing lights and the bustling crowds that walked within the boundaries of an exhilarating amusement park.

"Thank you Daniel!" William cheered as he slid down Daniel's back and proceeded to cheer in pleasure and excitement.

Little did William know, his life would soon drastically change once something he loved would perish.

It was time for William to head to school. His mother cut some apple slices and prepared a peanut butter jelly sandwich for his lunch. After she prepared the apple slices for William's lunch, she proceeded to take two slices of bread. She furled her hand through her long, chocolate brown hair and began to slather peanut butter on one slice of bread and jam on the other. Finally, William's mother assembled the sandwich, put it in a small Ziploc bag, and put the lazily put-together lunch in William's bag.

"Looks good to me," William's mother thought to herself pridefully.

"William! Your lunch is ready, let's go now!" She called to William who sat in the living room.

As William's mother was getting William's lunch and approached the living room, William retrieved his bright red backpack and placed it on the ground in front of him. It had three compartments sealed by silver zippers, and William began to put all of his books into the compartment closest to him. William finally took his bag and strapped it around his arms. He walked with a profound sense of pride as he left the house alongside his mother. They approached William's dad's favourite dark blue car and William's mother held the car door open for William. William scrambled in clumsily and the door was shut closed by his left side.

"Are you excited for school?" William's mother asked as she climbed into her front seat.

"Meh," William said blandly, for he wasn't too ecstatic for school.

"Can anyone tell me what the answer is?" William's teacher asked her twenty-six sixth-graders, each with their own individual talents and interests.

"Three and five-sixths!" A student called.

"Yes, that is right Melissa, but please do raise your hand." The teacher lectured.

"I'm sorry Miss Easton," Melissa apologized.

Miss Easton turned to the whiteboard to write another problem. She grasped onto a blue whiteboard pen and wrote some numbers on the board. William stared at the whiteboard, attempting to grasp an understanding of the math problem Miss Easton was writing. After writing the question, Miss Easton turned to the class and revealed the math problem as three-fifths multiplied by two-sevenths. William became distracted by his two best friends who sat in front of him, Joe and Elesa. These two individuals were twins, and they were very similar to one another.
