Rumors Or Not?

A few weeks had passed during my senior year. It's been exciting. Hearing that there was a pregnant girl already, well, let's just say I gagged a little. It was interesting so far, besides the drama and dumb events. Xavier and I have been really close lately, but I'm not really that type of girl who would fall in love so easily. Especially, towards really, really, really attractive guys. Like him, of course. Like I said, I'm not that type of girl who chooses a guy so quickly.

Lately, I've been hearing that people were talking about me. I'm really hating the attention now. Knowing that people are talking about me makes me wants to jump off a cliff. 'Did you hear about that new girl?' or 'I saw that ghost girl.' It's annoying how they judge someone so quickly. For example, a 'ghost' girl?

Anyways, as we exit out the cafeteria, I look over at Xavier and smile, "I'll be back." I laughed and slowly walked away towards the bathroom. Before I could even reach the entrance, I bump into a brunette with hazel eyes. You know that moment? When a girl and guy look at each other in movies or books, like they have instantly fell in love with each other? I think I just had that moment with the guy I made contact with. Soon after, a yell from behind me screamed "Troye!" I looked back to see two girls who look surprised, yet happy at the same time. I glanced back at Troye who was looking away, blushing red like a fire hydrient. "Wait, aren't you Lina Woods? The one everyone was talking about?" One of the girls asked as a wide grin appeared on their faces. I nodded and laughed. "Ghost girl? Yeah, that's me.." I trailed off with my words and cleared my throat. "Wow. Ghost girl? That's rude, yet it sounds cool if you think about it. Anyways, I'm Isabelle." We both laughed and I nodded as she introduced herself. "I'm Melissa. It's nice to meet you. Oh! And that's Troye." She pointed behind me at the blushing male. I was confused if I had did something wrong. The girls laughed to themselves after seeing how troubled the male looked. "He's not good contacting with girls." They explained, which probably explained everything.

Well, you could say time passed by quickly. Everyone met up and it was shockingly going well. Troye finally spoke, but that was only because Isabelle kind of forced him to. I have to admit. He's cute. The way he was shy like I was. I swear I could've felt like he will be a part of my life. A very important part. It's not a surprise to me, but it made me blush at the thought that he could be the one. What am I thinking? It's like I'm rushing into a relationship. As Xavier spoke to me, I laughed and smiled as the other girls did as well. Everyone was getting alone. As we all walked our separate paths, I was left with Troye. He looked away and blushed. I imagined his ears turning red as he glanced at me. "L.. Looks like we're going the same way." I spoke, stammering a bit. Which was a bit rare. We both started walking the same direction, but silence is what filled our atmosphere. However, it was peaceful. I suddenly thought about holding hands with a guy whom I just met. It was very, very ridiculous. I can't believe I'm thinking like this. "S.. Sorry. I-I didn't properly i.. introduced myself. I'm Troye Griffin." He spits out, breaking the silence. I smiled and stopped walking. I reached out my hand, hoping he would shake my hand. "It's nice to meet you, Troye. I'm Lina Woods." I grinned like a total child getting her brand new doll. Trust me, that's not me. I'm just happy to know that I could be one of his close friends.

At that moment when our hands touched, I felt happiness run down my body. It sounds weird, but I felt amazed.
