"If your looking for someone to find another way up that mountain, Easy company is ready and willing" I looked up at Speirs as he walked up to Winters.
"Duly noted, I already recommended you to colonel Sink" Winters noded at him.
"Terrific, lets go find out where Hitler lived" Speirs said.
I looked between Winters and Nixion. Speirs began to walk away.
"Ron, we're not sure what's up there the colonel doesn't want us taking any unnecessary risks"
Speirs shook his head
"So the French are gonna beat us to the Eagle's Nest?"
After that I kinda was lost in thought.
"Liz?" I flinched back into reality.
"Liz, are you okay" Nixion looked genuinely worried.
I rubbed my eyes. "Y-ya im okay"
"Your with me and Dick, okay" he informed me, I nodded.
(Mini time skip)
The town looked deserted, I got a chill.
"We need to find somewhere to put the Colonel" said Winters
"How about right there" Nix drove us to a hotel with Nazi flags hanging off it.
I sighed, Nix stoped the Jeep and got out. I get out slowly and carefully. We walked in, a man was abou to grab the sign in book but Nix stoped him. I watched him from across the room.
Why does he have such an effect on me?
I shook it off. My legs lead me to finding Winters as he was saying we are taking the Eagle's nest.
(Another mini time skip)
Speirs lead the men into what looked like a meeting room. The guys found bottles of liquor and Malarkey poped one open, I flinched.
Soon I found Nixion, he was slightly drunk and sitting. I stand next to Winters as he is giving good news.
"The German army surrendered" He said.
My eyes got wide for a second then I smiled.
"I got a present for you" Winters pointed at Nix. "Your coming too Carson" he said.
"Yes sir" I answerd and we left, we took the Jeep.
Winters drove us to a old wrecked house.
"What is this place?" I ask looking at it.
"Goerings house, we found it yesterday" he answered.
We got out and walked to the door.
"We had it on guard since"
"I'll vouch for that" I look over and see O'keefe.
"Eager to get off duty O'keefe?" Winters asked smiling.
"No, there's just so much to see and do, sir" O'keefe handed Winters the key.
We all walked into the house and down to the basement. Winters turned on the light, we walked down some stairs. Nix took off his sunglasses and his expression changed completely. He looked so amazed.
"Its all yours, take what you want and have each company take a truck load" Winters said.
"We are going to Austria, You dont have to leave anything" Winters said from the door.
"Austria, sir?" O'keefe asked
"Happy V-E day" he answered and walked away.
"Yeah" Nix looked at me.
"V-E day" O'keefe asked.
"Victory in Europe" I answer.
Nix walks over to me and takes my helmet off, I look at him confused. He smiles at me.
"Happy V-E day" he says and runs his hand on my cheek, I lean into his touch.
He leans down and kisses me softly. I don't react at first then I kiss him back.
I lean back breaking the kiss.
"God your so beautiful Lizzie" He whispers. I blush.
He kisses my forehead and walks to a corner of the room and grabs a bottle. I put my helmet back on, O'keefe looks at me with a confused look, I shrug.
(Time skip)
I was sitting next to Nix as he was talking with Lieutenant Welsh. Nix was smoking and his other hand was on my knee. Winters walked up and leaned on the railing of the steps we are sitting on.
"I've decided, I got the points im going back to Kitty" Welsh said.
"Do you really think Kitty hasn't run off with some 4-F by now" Nix teased.
"Son of a bitch, thats not even funny" Welsh said laughing lightly.
"Harry ignore him" Winters said.
"How do I tell her I could have come home, but decided to jump on Tokyo?" Welsh asked.
I just shake my head smiling, Nix cresses my knee softly.
"You didn't tell them?" Winters asked.
I look up confused.
"I couldn't shut him up" Nix laughed.
"What? Tell us what?" Welsh asked.
"Guts and glory here applied for a transfer" Nix gestured to Winters.
"What?" Welsh asked.
"For the Pacific right away, If im going I wanna get it over with" Winters answered.
"Are you in on this?" Welsh asked Nix.
"I can't let him go by himself he don't know where it is," Nix answered.
He held my hand and kissed my knuckles.
"Im only going if he does" He reassures me.
I nod and he kisses me lightly and I return the kiss. I pull away and lean to his ear.
"I love you" I whisper.
He smile and leans to my ear.
"I love you too" he kisses my neck.
