What is worse than killing someone. Killing a lot of people. I knew these Germans had families and people that loved them. I have no one, I was a orphan when I joined. My story was full of abuse and death. My parents died when I was 10 and I was put in an orphanage. I joined the army when I was 18 and they took me right in. I was told I would be a nurse. But there was a man who saw my potential, That man is Richard Winters. I was made into a medic and boy was that worse than being a nurse. I saw men getting hurt and dying. What did they do to deserve it?

Here we are in Berchtesgaden, the Eagles nest. The roads are blocked and we have been trying to blow it up for hours. I have been sitting in the car along with Major Winters just looking off into the rocks. The last couple years have been hell for me, I had panic attacks almost every night. What I have seen would make a grown man cry.

"Miss.Scott, you will be with us" Spiers said.
"Yes sir" I said with as much enthusiasm as I could. Spiers smiled with sympathy on his face. I just looked at him with a straight face.

Major Winters was talking with Spiers and I waited along with the others.
"Scott, you are going with Major Winters" Spiers said.
I nodded again and they took Doc Roe instead. I stood beside Winters and his group.

He slowly drove us into town with Nazi flags everywhere. Captain Nixon was on the other side of him while was on the back with Harry Welsh. I started to imagine what the people in this town thought about us, they were probably very confused.

"Elizabeth?" Winters said.

I snapped out of my day dream and looked at him. There was no one left outside.

"Y-yes sir" I got off the Jeep and walked inside.

"Elizabeth, are you alright?" He asked.
I looked around to see nobody.

"No sir" He walked over to me, took off my helmet and hugged me.

I froze, his heart was beating against mine, I hugged him back and cried. He picked my head up.

"Stay strong for me" He said.

He did something I would never forget. He kissed me.
