Broken Glass

Edd hid behind an old car, holding a rusted shovel. He took deep breaths, hoping he lost them. Edd heard nothing but silence, and assumed they were gone. Believing he was safe, he sat down, and let out a sigh. His heartbeat slowed, and his breathing calmed.

Zombies were stupid, but dangerous. One or Two zombies, Edd could handle, but twenty-three all at once? He barely made it out alive! Edd was pretty happy to be...alive. That's all anyone had left, their lives. There wasn't even cola! All anyone had to live for was-...was...was-...

Edd couldn't answer that question. He got up eventually and wiped his face. After getting his vision back, he began to walk. The forest around him was quiet, no other beings in sight. Nothing seemed alive, many of the trees were dead, and bodies scattered the ground.

Almost tripping over a rock, Edd stumbled, and almost fell. He grabbed a tree and regained his balance. After almost falling, Edd's sight was blocked again and his mouth flooded. He wiped his face again, and sighed, "Why does this always happen?"

Suddenly, he saw something once his sight returned. A small broken down house...

Edd smiled a little, and walked towards it. Once he got close, he noticed broken glass...

lots of broken glass...

Edd cautiously walked around the glass, careful not to step on it. He eventually reached the door and opened it. The house was quiet. Edd assumed it was abandoned and walked through.

It was very empty, with only a few chairs and a table, a single couch, and a bedroom.

Edward entered the bedroom, and glanced around...Everything was so...Purple. The room was covered in broken mirrors, and Edd looked in one...and saw that someone was behind him. Before he could turn around-

"GOTCHA!"

Edd hit the ground as he was knocked out.

A Tall Ginger haired man stood over him, holding a baseball bat tightly, "Well...that's taken care of-..."

There was a long, long silence.

"He was another survivor...wasn't he?" Matt facepalmed as he realized what he just did. He picked up the shorter man and threw him onto the purple bed. "Welp...I guess I'll just...wait until he wakes up..." Matt quietly stated to himself as he adjusted his googles. He sat down on a small, bloody rug.

"Just...uh..." Matt fidgeted his hands, "...wait..."

Matt sighed loudly, getting impatient after 1 minute. "Okay, I'll be back later!" Matt called as he began to go outside.
