"Wake up honey, it's time for school!" Mom called and banged against my door. I groaned and pushed the blanket off my body before standing up, rubbing my eyes while heading to the mirror since the first thing I did every morning was checking how I looked.
Update, I looked perfectly fine, like every morning. Don't ask me why that was. I guess I was just god blessed.
I opened my closet with a yawn as I pulled out my bleached ripped boyfriend jeans and a light pink crop top which I put on after pulling off my pajamas.
The next step was to fix my hair. Since the hair wax was empty, I managed to style it with the hairspray I borrowed from my Mom. Good, now I was ready to come down. I nodded with a brief glance into the mirror before heading to the table were Mom had already placed my breakfast and some lunch money on the table.
"Good morning," I greeted her with a brief smile which she returned as she was putting on her shoes the moment I started eating, just before I stuffed the money that was laying on the table in my pocket.
"Don't forget your keys, I'll be coming home late," she mentioned and left the house. Not even a minute passed until my phone started ringing. I pulled it out of my back pocket and saw the message GG sent me. It was only a quick message that told me she'd pick me up a bit earlier today.
The time we started hanging out together, it was nearly impossible to understand her messages. She is one of those people who wrote with more typos than correct words. I assume it started to get remarkably bad once she got her killer nails done. Though with time I got used to it.
I hurried up with eating and sped back to my room where I, of course, had to unintentionally bump against my Dad. But he luckily didn't seem too annoyed and just groaned, passing me without giving me a second glance. So, yeah my Dad, he's not really a morning person. It's better not to get on his nerves in the morning if you still wanted to keep your head attached to your body.
Once I was back in my room, I took my already packed white leather backpack and tossed my keys inside. I was still running around with bare feet so I didn't waste any time to pull out some light pink socks before I head to the bathroom to brush my teeth.
And as soon as I heard GG's car, I finished up with a final glance into the mirror again, grabbing my bag and rushing down to put my white sneakers on.
On the way, I met my father who was eyeing me, or rather my outfit, with a skeptical look. Well, my father was never too fond of my outfits anyway, but he mostly never said anything.
"You should put on a jacket." His voice was as monotone as ever. I smirked at him and closed the door with a quick goodbye, leaving to head to GG's white mini where she was already waiting for me. I jumped in, fasten my seatbelt and as soon as I closed the door, she began to drive to school. "Why so early today?" I wanted to know and started a conversation.
"Jeez, if I had stayed there any longer, I would've gone to school with a massive headache. Ugh, my Mom, shouting around like a mad woman. You know, Rick was causing her problems as always. And then I was about to make some coffee, unintentionally spilled it and she started shouting again after I've thought that she had already calmed down," she rambled. That girl knew how to talk a whole lot. "All because of Rick. Him causing problems affects everyone in the family. I swear, one day, I'm going to throw a freaking stool at that thick head. Maybe that'll pound some sense into him," she sighed. "I couldn't even get my everyday morning coffee."
