Even the next day I still couldn't believe that I gave that guy my jacket. My favorite jacket! What was I thinking? I sighed. Let's hope that he doesn't destroy it. I should wait until the next time I meet that guy again.
"Hey bro, why you spacing out like that," my brother scattered my hair. I raised my gaze at him, seconds before shouting at him until he continued talking. "Mom is coming home today, make sure to welcome her since Dad and I won't be home till midnight."
"Whatever," I waved off and fixed my hair. In the next moment I heard my Dad approaching me. He didn't say nothing, just placed my car keys on the table. "Finally," I muttered. It was torture without my babies. But the look in the eyes of my Dad's told me more than any words from him could ever have done.
Well, to explain what happened. The reason why he took my keys from me was because two weeks ago I simply had a bad day, like a really bad day. And on top of the whole bad coincidences that happened one after another and the shitty mood I was already in, I wasn't quite paying attention in anything.
So, I ended up driving into another car because I hadn't noticed the stoplights turning red. Well that damage I caused must have been expensive. Luckily, there was no one who got hurt. At least one thing that went well on that day.
Okay enough to tell. I left the table and head to my room where I quickly changed and made myself ready for school. Once I put my shoes on and arrived at the door, I wanted to take my jacket as usual but I quickly remembered that I don't have it anymore.
And I'm pretty sure that there was no way that Dad would let me buy another one like that. He already told me that it was a waste of money when I got that jacket in the first place.
So, at the end I planned to go without it but Tyler was fast to stop me. "Is it not too cold for you to be going without a jacket. See, the last time it had rained." Ugh, what am I going to say now? I'd be crazy if I tell him the truth.
"Well now I have my car back so I don't need it." He frowned at me. I knew he would. Just imagine, someone going out with the same jacket over and over and then all of the sudden decided not to wear it one day.
"But you once said to me you'd never leave the house without that jacket. Oh, wait I remember you coming home completely wet without it. Did you lose it? Did someone steal it? You got robbed?" He eagerly wanted to know. Why couldn't he just shut up for once?
"No, I didn't lose it and no one stole it. It's none of your business, okay?!" I snapped. He cocked a brow at me and laughed.
"Don't let Dad find out," he warned me before I closed the door behind my back. That idiot. I went to our garage and got in my black car before continued driving out to school. As soon as I got out the car, everyone was looking at me.
But I wasn't paying attention to them when my friends came up to me. "So, I see, finally got your car back, huh?" Emmett started and we did our handshake. Max and Tess came not much later. While Max was hugging the car and was rambling something about how much he had missed it, Tess was inspecting me with a frown.
"Where is your jacket?" I held back a sigh when that question dropped. Even Max was paying attention now. Ugh, that girl. She could be a real pain in the ass. I was playing with the thought on lying to her but I decided not to because one, Tess was Tess and she would have easily noticed if I had lied and two, Emmett was also listening and it's a bro codex of ours never to lie to each other.
"I gave it to someone." And that was how I told the truth. Max narrowed his eyes at me like he couldn't recognize me anymore, Emmett was gaping and Tess freaked out.
