Chapter 7, Fear

Virgil's POV

BAM! I had been asleep in the room they moved me to. "Get up Anx." A familiar voice said. "Fear?" I asked sitting up. "You know? There was a time when it was just Ghosty & Anx. You never called me Fear or Meda. Even when I allowed you. I was always Ghosty to you." Fear said coming into the room. "What the h*ll do you want you b*tch?" I asked standing up.

"That's rich." She said smiling. "You calling me a b*tch. YOU abandoned ME! YOU left me for those. Those little pieces of sunshine. You and I used to be the best team. All the pranks we played. All the damage we caused? Anxiety and Fear. Perfect for each other. And then you had to go and give it up. Why?"

"Why? Because our so called friendship wasn't real. As soon as I was gone you ran to Hatred and cried about how horrible I was. You think I abandoned you? Hah! That's hilarious. YOU abandoned ME. YOU did. When I needed you most you walked away. Not me. You. I hate you for that Fear. I hate you."

"Well then. I was gonna give you the chance to join us again. But it looks like I was wrong. You really are a Light Side."

"You're right. I am a Light Side. Through, and, through."

She strode over to where I was standing & with uncanny strength she turned me around & tied my hands behind my back. "Come on." She said pushing me out the door & down the stairs to the living room of the Shadow Room. "Ah. Our guest is awake." Disgust said straightening his bright green leather jacket. I rolled my eyes as Fear pushed me to the middle of the room. "Today. Is the day we take control." Deceit said standing in the center of the room. "Today we are going to the one place the Light Sides won't follow. Today we're going to the Outside." I gasped. Deceit looked at me & smiled. "Got a problem with that? Virgil." "N-no." I said standing up even straighter. "Not at all." My mind however, was going at a million miles a minute. What were they going to do? Roman will definitely follow me, but will he drag the others with him? Why on earth would anyone, Dark Side OR Light Side, even think about going to the Outside? "We will find the one Side who hasn't joined a side." Deceit said. "Imagination." I stopped breathing. No. Imagination is powerful. It can be amazing. But it can also destroy you. If Imagination joined the Dark Sides, Thomas could be seriously hurt. Or even killed. "Come my friends." Deceit said. He took my arm & we disappeared in a puff of green and black smoke. When the smoke cleared up we where standing on a black plain. Rivers of boiling hot water flowed side by side streams of lava. Every few yards a patch of trees were on fire. We SO weren't in the Main Mind Palace anymore. We were Outside.
