April 6, 2016"I am proud to be your wife and to join my life with yours. I vow to support you, push you, inspire you, and, above all, love you, for better or worse, in sickness and health, for richer or poorer, as long as we both shall live."
The biggest smile formed on his face, and it looked as though he was going to cry. I'm not going to lie, I was holding back tears, too. I'm actually wearing a full face of makeup, and this shit is not about to smear before the reception.
"You may kiss the bride." The man with a big beard smiles, and the crowd cheers. Alex leans in and kisses Lisa. I glance over at Jack, whose standing up with the rest of the groomsmen, and he's already looking at me. He has the biggest smile on his face and he winks at me. I just stick my tongue out at him, and turn my attention back to the Bride and Groom. Alex and Lisa smile at all of the people in the crowd who decided to share their lucky day with them, before walking back down the aisle.
Along with the other bridesmaids, I follow. The groomsmen follow Alex, lining up next to us. Jack, the obvious candidate that I walked down with not too long ago, was next to me again. He holds my hand as we walk. I give him an extra squeeze as everyone watching continues to clap. And it finally was time for the reception.

"I can not get over how good you look." Jack tells me, pulling out my chair. I smile back and shake my head before sitting down at the table. I look at the little note card sitting on my plate, with beautiful cursive letters that spell out Madison Albourne, and I smile knowing Alex purposely used my full name to get at me. It worked. Jack sits down next to me and sets his hand on my thigh. "I can't get over how good you look." I tell him.
He kisses my cheek, and just then I hear Zack's voice from behind me. "Maddy, Jack," We turn around to see Zack standing next to a skinny, blonde girl with a gorgeous smile and a cute dress. "This is Katie." Jack and I both shake her hand, and the two of them take a seat at the table with us. Zack met Katie not too long ago, and hasn't brought her around any of us yet. He always seems to pick the wrong girls, honestly. Hasn't been in a long-lasting relationship in... I can't even remember how long. So, I think he's trying to take things slow this time.
The four of us talk a little bit before I feel a thin set of arms wrap around my neck and hug me. "Hey, pretty girl!" It's Cassadee. I smile and rub her arm, "What's cookin' good lookin'?" I laugh as she sits down on the other side of me. A firm hand pats my head, and I hear Rian tell me, "Looked good up there, Mads." I swat his hand away and tell him, "As did you, Dawson."
"What about me?" Jack whines.
"Let's just say that I really enjoyed standing behind you." Rian winks. When will these men ever outgrow their bromance?
Rian takes the last empty seat at the table and the six of us talk, amusing ourselves until Alex and Lisa walk in, hand-in-hand and everyone cheers. They walk straight to their families, getting hugs and kisses from everyone. "You know," I say, "It took everything in me to not sabotage this wedding with that Dance Forever song like they did in The Office."
The table laughs. Cassadee holds out her hand, waving her fingers around, and takes a sip of her water as she says, "Good thing you have another wedding coming up that you can sabotage." We laugh again and Rian gives me a look, "Albourne, I swear if you do-" Cassadee puts her hand over his mouth so he can't finish his sentence and then winks at me.
"Looks like we've gotta wait until ours." Jack whispers. I smile at him, and he smiles back. No, we're not engaged yet. I wish we were, but we've only really been together a couple of years. I feel his thumb gently stroking my knee as I turn back to Cassadee.
"I hope they get this damn food served soon." Zack butts in, "I'm starving."
"When aren't you hungry?" I ask.
"Have you seen how much this guy eats?" Jack asks Katie, she just nods her head.

After the speeches were given and dinner was eaten, it was time to dance. Lisa had her one-on-one with her dad, and then Alex. I just finished my second Vodka cranberry and I was here to get drunk and dance with my best friends. "You want a refill?" I ask Jack. He takes the last sip out of his cup and nods his head, so I get up to walk over to the open bar.
"Can I get a Jack and Coke and a Vodka cranberry, please?" I ask, leaning up against the bar. My feet are killing me, I'm not sure why I haven't taken off these heels yet. The bar tender nods and I pull out two singles. She compliments my dress and I compliment her tattoo. After she hands me the drinks, I slide her the singles as a tip and she thanks me.
On my way back to the table, I'm stopped by Jack's sister, May. "Maddy! You look so beautiful." I smile and give her an awkward hug, trying not to spill our drinks all over her. "So do you, May." She laughs at me almost soak her with Jack's JD and takes it from me. "Jack's?" I nod and she walks with me back to the table. I notice the slow music stop, and the singer of the live band tell us it's time for everyone to dance. Now, I'm excited.
May hugs Jack and gives him his drink as I kick my heels under the table and grab Cassadee's hand, pulling her out of her seat. "Guess I'm going to dance." She tells Rian, following me with her cup in her hand. We're the first one's on the dance floor, so we got dibs on Lisa. The three of us danced around to the first song the band plays. "It's always fun to take a break and not be the one making music for other people." Cassadee agrees with me and we spin Lisa around, shouting out the lyrics.
When the song finishes, I go to take a sip of my drink, and feel a familiar set of arms wrap themselves around my waist. I smile, knowing exactly who it is. "No boys allowed in this circle!" Cassadee shouts over the music. I hear Jack shout back, "When it's your wedding you can make the rules!" She flips him off and he just laughs and tells her he loves her, before pulling me away. We disappear into the crowd and find a little spot in the middle of everyone. "I was just trying to have some fun with my girls." I tell him, and he just smirks down at me. "I couldn't resist."
Jack leans down and presses his lips against mine, letting his hands fall down to my waist once again. We pull away from the kiss and he gulps down his barely started cup of JD, then looks at me. "Let's fucking dance."
