Just before I could pull the razor through, Anna, her parents, and probably three cops rushed into the room. I promptly dropped the razor, and Anna snatched it up. Her concerned gaze made me flinch. Once they had bandaged me they confined me to my room, but of course they thought it was foolish not to search my room for sharp objects first. I laid on my bed for what seemed like weeks, but when I glanced at the clock it said I had only been sitting there for a few hours.
I groaned. I knew if I sat here much longer I would blow up or something, but what could I do to get out of here? I stood up and staggered to the door, trying the knob. Nope, it was locked.
"Of course it's locked, why would they let a girl who nearly tried to kill herself roam free?" A voice said behind me. I whipped around, staring the man in the face.
"Oh great," I growled. "Now I'm going crazy." Actually, people coming through house windows was common in this town. What was so odd about it was that this was the second floor, not the first. There was also nothing he could've climbed up on, and he didn't look to be wearing a jet pack.
"No, you're not." He replied. "You should try climbing out of the windows." He suggested. Then I shook my head.
"I can't climb out. It's impossible. I'd die. And HOW do you know I nearly..." I trailed off. He just stared at me.
"Just follow me." He strode towards the window, and before I could do a thing, he gripped my arm and sent me sailing down. WHAM. I groaned. That had HURT. Really, I was surprised I had survived without falling on my head.
Then I heard him leap down beside me. "Alright," he said, holding his hand out to me. I took it, groaning. "Let's go." I rose, and stumbled- nearly falling over- when I saw what was in front of me. To horses, both with wings. Their hides gleamed in the dim lightning, the smooth rising of their bodies signaling the sign of breathing. Two pegususes stood in front of me.
