“Wake-up beautiful,” some one cooed into Rebecca’s ear as she slept.

A groan escaped her lips as she pushed the man back rolling across the bed in an attempt to get away. The melodic chuckles felling the room made her smile. The bed pushed down with the weight of another person beside her.

“Come on. I made breakfast.”

With those last three words, the not so alluring prospect of getting up got a lot more tempting. A gentle hand rubbing the exposed skin of her arm made her fell loved. It was a simple sign of affection that she often missed. She rolled over to face the black haired beauty on the bed next to her, taking in his soft features and fascinating eyes such a deep rich blue they looked slightly purple in dim light. He was perfect sweet, kind and complimentary not to mention hot. Alias, he was so out of her league and had placed her in the friend zone long ago; she counted herself lucky to at least have him as a friend.

“I made breakfast tacos,” he sang slightly off key with a laugh.

That got her out of bed quickly. Spaghetti might be her favorite dinner food but Peters breakfast tacos were her favorite breakfast food. It was a warm made from scratch pancake folded over, stuffed with ham, cheese, sweet peppers, and crushed pineapples. Best Damn Thing Ever. Peter laughed at her enthusiasm at the mention of breakfast tacos, as they both headed for the kitchen. Setting down at the bar, she waited for him to hand her a plate of food. She would have gotten it herself but Peter was a chief and liked to serve the food he made for guests. Being honest, she didn’t mind one bit.

“It looks delicious like always,” she complemented.

He smiled and told her thanks. The two laughed, talked and ate. Peter knew all about Liam and why she had come over for the night. As always he was happy to give her a place to stay, he hated to see her upset and often wondered why she was still with a douche like Liam. Their conversation had died down as they finished eating and he couldn’t stop himself from watching her. The sound of her phone ringing pulled their attention away from each other and the food. After a moment of debating, she decided to go answer it. Looney Bitch calling, she laughed at her own nickname for Kat, it fit her well or at least Rebecca thought it did.

“What up, yo,” Kat shouted into Rebecca’s ear loudly trying to sound gangster.

“Yo,” Rebecca asked with a laugh. “It’s… going?”

Rebecca was unsure how to describe the situation she had gotten herself into or how she felt. Shouldn’t she be depressed over herself and Liam? She wasn’t. Shouldn’t she feel guilty for thinking about Peter in a more-than-friends way? She didn’t. She was happy, having a moment of glee with Peter but it felt… wrong in a way or she thought that it should feel wrong.

“Going how,” Kat asked sounding confused.

“I’m on the fence with that,” she replied truthfully.

She honestly didn’t have a clue. This whole thing with Liam and their relationship was a mess. The uncertainty she felt was tearing at her, making her unhappy.

“Trouble with Liam,” Rebecca’s dear friend asked already knowing.

“Yeah, Peter made me breakfast taco’s though.”

It was a type of joke in a way. Rebecca loved food in general, so anyone that knew her would understand the statement. Liam had upset her but the food made up for it and she know felt better. Kat chuckled understanding perfectly and secretly wondered how her friend wasn’t the size of an elephant. The small but curvy girl ate more then anyone else she knew.

“Well then I guess you wouldn’t need some shopping therapy,” Kat told her friend.

Rebecca laughed, for Kat any reason was a good reason to go shopping. Despite loving the idea of staying at Peter’s place Rebecca agreed to go shopping. After all, with the Liam rollercoaster she was on she needed therapy beyond food. The two agreed to meet up at Audrey’s. Hanging up the phone Rebecca turned to Peter.
