After a long day of shopping with Aminah, we did have great fun and bought a lot of things and later on we decided to go to Starbuck's and grab a drink.

'' Thanks for coming with me girls, hopefully everything turns out well''

'' No Problem, yes inshallah''

At the salon..

A few weeks later, on Aminah's wedding day, Aisha and I went to the salon to get pampered and ready for Aminah's wedding. We were so excited. The lady who was going to get me ready was really nice and showed me a bunch of hairstyles to choose from. I picked a really stylish one which involved getting my hair curled and pinning some flowers with glitter. She did my makeup so perfect that in the end I couldn't even recognize myself.

''Oh my gosh! thank you so much I can't even recognize myself!''

''It's my pleasure'' the lady said proudly

''Woah!, girl you look amazing Fatima''

''You look even prettier Aisha I love your hair'' I was dazzled

Then we go to the changing room where all the girls were getting dressed, I go to a spare room and change into my lilac silk dress with a silver belt and put on my heels. Once I step out everyone stares at me.

'' Your not supposed to look prettier than the bride'' one of them says.

'' Yeah, stop trying to take the spotlight'' says another one.

''I think she just wants the praise and glory'' another one burst out.

Then Aisha saw and she steps in..

''Hey leave her alone!, your just jealous because you don't look as pretty as her''

'' Come on Fatima, lets go''

She pulls my arm and walks as fast as she can before they can say anything else.

'' Wow thanks Aisha I didn't really know what was going on back there.''

''Just stay away from them, their just jealous''

The wedding turned out to be amazing, the food was nicely decorated and tasted amazing especially the cake. And best of all Aminah looked amazing!, her makeup was so perfect with a slight of glitter; her dress was so nice with swirls and beads she even had a perfect matching purse. It was a perfect wedding. 🎂✨

Aisha had to go somewhere afterwards, so I had to walk home not that I really minded. On the way home, there were a group of teenage boys. I could tell they were trying to get closer to me because they were even pointing and laughing at my niqab. I tried to walk as fast as I could but they were following me from behind. I didn't know what to do so I tried to stay calm and asked Allah for help. Suddenly three of the teenage boys from the group came in front of me, and the rest were behind forming a circle around me. I was frightened, but yet still asked Allah for help.

''Dude, whats the thing on your face!'' one of them laughed.

'' Yeah are you a ninja or something'' another one jeered

''Looks like miss ninja doesn't talk!''. Which made them all laugh.

The oldest from the group of boys grabbed my wrist, and tried to take my niqab off. But before he could do that, thank Allah a man came to save me..

''Hey you leave her alone!, or I will call the police this instant!'' the strange man said.

They shrugged, but decided to leave but before they did the oldest one, before he let go of my wrist whispered. ''We'll be back, before you know it miss ninja'' and gave a little push, I stiffened. The strange man, I could tell he was a muslim he came up to me

''Asalamualaikum'' he said with a smile

''Walaikumusalam'' I replied

''Are you ok, did they hurt you?''

I lowered my gaze, '' Yes I'm fine thanks to you, Jazakhallah khair''

''There's no need to thank me, I'm glad your alright.''

''What is your name may I ask?'' the strange man asked.

''Um, my name.. it's Yasmeen.''

With that I left, without saying goodbye, because he was a non-maharam and I did not want to stay for long, and I also didn't want him to know that my name was really Fatima, not Yasmeen. He did call back, ''Wait!''.. but I pretended I didn't hear him.

What a long day!...
