chapter one.

GENEVIEVE SAT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT; looking at the journal in her bag. Something told her that she needs to read it. And that's exactly what she did.

She opened the journal and saw it was a diary. She sat back in the seat as she began to read it quietly...

"Dear Diary, I would like to...

inform you that our mission was successful.

A girl rode her motorcycle into the N.E.S.T. base and was greeted by her adopted brother, William Lennox.

"Good to have you back, sis." He said as he hugged his little sister.

"It's good to be back." She said as she smiled. She pulled away before she looked up at Bumblebee.

The mission went well. We had to take down Starscream and Soundwave. Apparently, they tried to find a way to contact Megatron.

Weird, right? Last time I saw that fragabot, his face was half blown off. I actually laughed when I saw it. But anyway...

"Great job, 'Bee! That technique was awesome! We have got to do that again!" She commented as Bumblebee fistbumped the air and gave her a thumb up.

"Yo, Jade!" The girl, Jade, rolled her eyes before she met the faces of Sunstreaker and Sideswipe.

"Hey, guys." She greeted before the room got quiet.

We were about to celebrate until the big boss walked in. My guardian, Optimus Prime. He didn't look too good either. That was when all hell ran upon the room.

"RECRUITING?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN RECRUITING?!" Jade shouted up to her guardian as he sighed softly. Jade shook her head before she walked away; hearing Lennox call after her.

We found out that Megatron was contacted and now he was recruiting any and all Decepticons around the globe. It angered me so badly. I thought we got them, but it looks like we were too late.

"Jade! Hey, come on. I know how much stopping Megatron means to you..." Jade ripped out of his grip and glared at him with teary eyes.

"No, you don't know, Will!" Jade interrupted as she began to sob quietly.

"You don't know what it's like to watch your entire family die in front of you and then had to be sent off world because you were the only one left! You didn't experience that, Will! You were born on Earth, you may have lost your parents, but they died for their country! My family died for nothing! They were innocent! They had nothing! My father was a good fighter but he didn't like fighting! He was a good person! Now he's DEAD! DEAD BECAUSE OF MEGATRON!" Jade ran off; leaving behind a shocked Lennox. He didn't know that she felt that way. He was concerned about his duties as a lieutenant and a soldier, he never took the time to think about his sister felt. Now he felt gulity.

I hated yelling at Lennox like that. He's my brother. Maybe not by blood, but by spirit. He was there for me when I learnt the real truth about myself. He was there for me in my darkest times. He was just there for me. I could never forget any of that ever. But I just need some time to myself. This is why I'm writing to you. You are my friend as well as my soulkeeper.

And for the first time in my life, there is something or someone that's listening to me besides Lennox. Sure, Optimus listens but that's sometimes because he's either on missions or I'm on missions. And for a 16 year old, that's a tough job. I'm just glad that you're...

"...listening. Love, Jade." Genevieve finished before she closed the book. She thought about what this girl, Jade, was talking about. She went through a lot. From Megatron to her brother to Optimus. She's right. For a 16 year old that is a lot.

But she lived her life till the end. Now that Geneieve thought about it, the way she was talking through her words in her journal made her think about that message. The girl was Jade! She gave them that message.

Jade wanted them to find her message and her journal, hoping it would give them clues to finding her or finding out the new threat.

Geneieve looked at the journal one more time before she yawned.

"Tired?" Optimus asked when she yawned. Genevieve nodded before she laid down on the seats. Geneieve closed her eyes as she smiled; hoping she will find Jade. The girl missing her diary.
