"he looks like nemo." taehyung mumbled, as he stared at the orange and white striped fish with wide glazed eyes.
"he really does doesn't he." jeongguk muttered in response; tightening his grip on his boyfriend's waist.
"wish we could keep him." taehyung spoke softly, just as he gently brushed his thin fingers across the glass.
"i know baby, i'm sorry we can't." the older male, of the two, whispered in the boy's hair. they stared at the tank, filled with multiple clown fish, for a little longer until they eventually got bored.

"you think their families are looking for them?" taehyung asked as he stared at the strawberry ice cream that slowly dropped down his fingers. he and jeongguk walked hand in hand along the pathway, his frozen sweet occupying his left hand.
"i dunno baby", jeongguk offered a soft smile, brushing taehyung's hair out of his face, "kind of sad don't you think? thought we were gonna be happy today?"
"i am..." taehyung mumbled; eyes still focused on the melting treat in front of him. "just kinda sad, i guess, i dunno." he finished with a shrug.
"oh baby." jeongguk frowned as he stopped, gently pulling taehyung into his hold. "you could've told me earlier y'know? wouldn't have gotten mad at you darl. i love you." jeongguk reassured him, rubbing the shorter boy's back slowly.
"'m sorry." taehyung had whimpered out quietly into jeongguk's well-built chest.
"don't be sorry baby, you have nothing to be sorry for." jeongguk mumbled out as he slowly caressed the back of taehyung's neck. "you don't need to apologise for having emotions, my love."
"i know but-but isn't it annoying?" the younger boy questioned further; tears welling up in his honey like eyes.
"not at all baby, because it's okay to be sad sometimes."
