What a pretty lion. Sparkly eyes and a rich burnt orange coat sprinkled with flawless markings. A rose-colored nose and a tail that wavered enchantingly. A princess that matched the color of the sunset. She paced away through the grass and as soon as she disappeared from sight I fell to the ground and wiggled around in glee. The sun beating down on me, I felt my heart turn to jelly. I had to tell someone how I felt. Kiara? Where was Kiara? I leaped eagerly over to a large tree where she was spotted pacing. As I ran toward her I shouted out. "Kiara! I have to tell you a secret!" Kiara turned and looked at me. "Hello, Tiifu. I'm kind of busy thinking about my duties but what is it?" her deep brown eyes shone with curiosity. I took a hearty gulp. "I... er... promise you won't tell on me?" Kiara sighed. "What did you do?" "Nothing! That's not it. It's just that... lately I've been feeling really... weird around Zuri. I always feel really fluttery when I'm around her." I traced my paw in the dirt embarrassedly. Kiaras eyes widened and her ears perked up. "Woah... really? Wow. I always thought you two were just good friends." "Me too... but I really like her. And I don't think she feels the same way. I mean how could she?" I exclaimed, my eyebrows knitting in distress. "What? How could she not? You're beautiful and lately you've been developing more quickly into a kind and strong lioness. Oh Tiifu, don't be afraid! If you don't tell her you might feel worse. Besides, it's worth it." Kiara's face was now lit up and she seemed to lack any negativity in this situation. My heart flooded with the reassurance I needed. "Oh thank you, Kiara! I feel less nervous now." I exclaimed. "I love you. You're such a helpful friend." Kiara smiled. "I love you, too. Oh! I just accomplished my queenly moment of the day!" "What?" "I recently came up with a process where I try and do one queenly thing each day. I helped you out and made you feel better! Like a queen! And now you can go tell Zuri how you feel!" Kiara jumped around in excitement and laughed, her toasty-colored tail flailing. "Yeah! Wait... I have to tell her now? Now?" I asked. "Well not if you're uncomfortable I suppose." Said Kiara. "No. My nerves will never evaporate. I'll do it now. Thank you." I walked off uneasy yet refreshed with determination. "No problem!"
