The broken fairies (Edited)

Chapter 8

It had been a week since we had joined Sabertooth and while Sabertooth wasn't as loud or as quick to fight as much as Fairy tail it was just as close if not closer. Now we had decided to go on a mission together before we got any further along. We were going together since we had made our own team.
"I know you can go on a mission by youselves but I want you to take Rouge and Sting with you. I mean you have to be careful and if those fairies turned up and hurt you I would never forgive myself. I would hunt every single fairy down, they will not interfer in the mission unless they need to or you ask them to. Its not because you are not strong enough it's for our own minds sake" Minerva explained a little nervous.
"That sounds like a good idea, if anything is to happen then they will be able to help you and your children" Carla pointed out making us stop in our refusal and nodded our heads to agree for them to come with us. 

"So which job are you guys going on?" Lector asked.
"Defeating a monster that is terrorizing a village, there isn't a very high reward but there is two celestial keys" I smiled happily.
"You sure love your spirits don't you?" Sting asked and I blushed a little looking down with a soft smile.
"Yeah....They are my family through and through, they have been there for as long as I can remember. They are always looking out for me even Aquarius even if she always yells and complains, I know that she cares for me" I said softly stroking my keys. Once we were all packed and ready we headed to the train station where Wendy cast a healing spell to counter their motion sickness for now. 

"May I ask a question?" Rouge asked after a little of the journey.
"Sure" Juvia nodded.
"After they hurt you so badly, why did you decide to tell them you were pregnant? Even though they didn't really believe you and were idiots" Rouge scowled.
"I guess it's hard to discribe really, I mean yes they hurt us really bad but we were already thinking of leaving before we found out we were pregnant. Then when we thought about it they had the right to know just as the babies have the right to know about their father's we couldn't denie them the knowledge" I explained with a shrug.
"Oh so it's because you wanted them to know not because you wanted to date them?" Sting questioned, yelping as Rouge smacked his head with a scowl.
"No after that night, we decided to give up on them no matter how hard it was" Juvia said and they nodded as we went silent watching as Lector offered Carla a fish and Frosch was talking about frogs to Rouge who was nodding along and agreeing with a small smile.
"Okay here we are the town that our job is in" Wendy said as the train stopped and we jumped up, Sting and Rouge grabbing their exceeds as we exited the train. 

"It says here the mayors house is in the middle of the city and rather large so we would be able to see it" I said and they nodded as we headed to the middle of the city.
"Is that it?" Sting asked as we all sweatdropped at the large house that had a large sign over it saying 'mayor's house'.
"Yeah I am guessing so" Wendy said as we nodded as Juvia knocked on the door.
"Ah you must be the mages from the Sabertooth guild the accepted the mission, come in, come in" who we were guessing was the mayor said as we sat down on the couchs.
"So what exactly can you tell us about the monster terrorizing the village?" I questioned looking at him.
"We don't know much about it only that it lives in the forest and has scales. It has been taking shiny stuff and jewels and sometimes even takes a villager and we never see them again" the mayor told us looking down upset.
"My daughter was taken last night we have not heard word" the mayor revealed, tears running down his face.
"Don't you worry, we will find the monster and make sure that your daughter is returned safely" Juvia comforted.
"Thank you," the mayor said, trying to stop his tears.
"We will go to the forest to look around, it's better if we deal with the monster before nightfall if not well who knows what would happen" Wendy planned and we got up saying good bye to the mayor and heading to the forest. 

"So what do you girl's think the monster will be?" Sting asked.
"From what I got from the discription and what I have read, more then likely it will be a Wyven. A two legged long serpent with large wings, they are thought to have been related to the dragons but nothing was proven, they are more deadly and like shiny things as well as the taste of humans" Wendy said and we all went a little green at that.
"Well what are you girls waiting for? We are just supervising" Sting encouraged and we chuckled and nodded a little.
"So you think you can sense the wyven Wendy?" Juvia enquired and she nodded.
"Yeah, I think I can," Wendy said and tilted her head up a little and took a deep breath in.
"This way" Wendy lead and we followed her until we came across a cave entrance.
