Ok, this chapter is gonna be a Caleo one, even though I'm a Leyna shipper. Of course, I'm gonna do a Leyna one in the future one, but this one's for the_dam_pjo_fandom. If you don't like Caleo, then don't read. I'm gonna try to update as soon as possible.
Peter Rochez
The life of a geek wasn't easy. Peter was picked on almost every day; constantly taunted and teased because of his lack of physical strength. It wasn't like he was ugly or anything, he was just small and scrawny. He had a few friends, but they all had the same problem as him.
He didn’t feel like he had someone who understood him, someone he could lean onto, someone to talk to.
He was walking down the hallway after school, heading for his locker when someone stopped right in front of him. Peter plowed right into the boy only to lose his balance and fall onto his butt. His eyes widened when he looked up and he felt a trickle of fear slip into his mind.
"Watch where you're going Petey!" the boy growled. Peter gulped when he saw how mad Dennis looked. Dennis was his bully, his tormentor.
"I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" Dennis just glared at his and lashed out, grabbing his collar, lifting him up and shoving him against the wall. Peter let out a strangled noise as Dennis wrapped his sweaty hand around his neck. A large crowd had gathered, the onlookers too afraid to say anything. Dennis pulled his other arm back with a twisted grin on his face. As he hurled his fist towards his face, Peter's vision was suddenly blocked by a wall of hair. He heard the sound of a punch hitting its target, but it wasn't his. Everyone was shocked. A young girl who couldn't have been older than 16 caught Dennis's fist mid-punch, then punched him right back, sending him to the ground. The hallway was silent, waiting for the girl's next move. She spoke up, her voice as clear as a stream of water,
"You shouldn't pick on those who are weaker than you coward!" she yelled, her anger emitting from the words directed to the bully, "If you can't even take a single punch, then you shouldn't be giving them!"
Her words echoed through the hallway, making the mood even darker than before. Dennis scrambled onto his feet and ran away, humiliated and enraged. One by one, spectators left and soon the only ones left were Peter and the girl. Stretching out her hand she said,
"Hey, my name’s Calypso. What's yours?"
He stared as a smile graced her features, taking her hand and realized that she was actually really pretty when she wasn’t mad. Her braided caramel hair glinted in the sun and her tan skin glowed. His heart started to beat faster and he didn't know what to say, after all, it wasn't every day that a pretty girl talked to him. He thanked her and walked out of the school to head home. He spent all night wondering why she had helped him and came to the conclusion that maybe, she was simply nice.
…
The next day, he walked up the steps cautiously, watching out for Dennis and his friends. Each step he took was shaky and careful. When Calypso put her hand on his shoulder, he nearly jumped out of his skin, a strangled cry escaping his throat. He calmed down when he saw who it was, sighing in relief.
“Are you okay?” she said, her forehead creasing with worry lines.
“I-I’m fine,” he stuttered, not understanding why she had come up to him. Usually, girls avoided him.
Calypso grinned. “Well, I couldn’t just leave you alone. Who knows? Dennis and his troupe of lackeys could be following you or something.”
He was shocked. It was like she had read his mind.
