I’m just going to put this out there. I was going to update this chapter a month ago. It was only supposed to be around 2,000 words. It ended up being over 9,000! So I’m sorry it took so long…. But I’m finally done! Enjoy! BTW, this is a Jiper/Jasper story.

Warning:This chapter does contain a bit of swearing and slight maturish themes.

Disclaimer: I don’t own this stuff, Rick Riordan does.

Veronica Anderson

“So I was like, ‘What’s wrong with you?’, and she was all like, ‘What’s wrong with you?!’ Ugh, I hate her so much!”

Veronica was completely used to this kind of behavior. Every single day was filled with more and more gossip, not that it was a bad thing. No, the only bad thing in this school, or person rather, was a girl with choppy brown hair who just so happened to think that she owned the whole damn school. Just the thought of it made Veronica’s blood boil with rage. No way was she giving up this school to a practically friendless idiotic girl with no social life. No way in hell.

The girl’s name was Piper McLean. She’d been at the school for four months already, but Veronica’s opinion hadn't changed since the day she walked through the doors. She hated her. She hated her ugly hairdo that worked so well on her, her horrible sense of fashion that still made her look good, her perfect skin, her gorgeous eyes, her cheery voice, her confidence, her athletic figure and most of all, she hated how effortlessly beautiful Piper was. She didn’t have to wake up early just to do her hair and makeup. She didn’t have to spend hours picking out the right wardrobe to wear. She didn’t have parents who didn’t care about her. She had real friends. She had everything Veronica wanted and the fact that she didn’t care made her even angrier. That was why she bullied her.

Every day had become a routine. Get up, get beautiful, go to school, bully Piper, hang out with ‘friends’, bully Piper, go to class, bully Piper, flirt with boys, bully Piper, go home, go to bed and get ready for the next day. She hated how pathetic her life had become. She herself had unknowingly wrapped herself around Piper, only increasing the amount of hatred she had for her.

Breaking herself out of her thoughts, she flicked her blonde hair out of her and dug around her purse, pulling out a small makeup kit. Prying it open, she picked up the eye shadow brush and dabbed it in the light pink eye shadow before running it along her eyelids. She stared at the mirror, shifting it slightly to change the angle to make sure she didn’t mess up. Perfect, she thought. Turning to her friends, she asked for their opinion, knowing the answer she would get.

“You look gorgeous!” Lilliana squealed, clasping her hands together over her chests and giving her heart eyes. Veronica smiled, but it was fake, just like her friend’s reaction. It didn’t matter though, as long as she received the compliment.

“Lilliana’s right! You look totally amazing!” Danielle said in her sickly sweet voice.

Veronica rolled her eyes. The bell rang and students rushed through the hallways to get to their classes, including the trio who had math. As they walked into the class, they immediately headed towards the back to their usual seats. Veronica stopped, glaring the brunette who stole her seat.

“Hey bitch, get out of my seat!” she hissed, glad that the teacher had yet to arrive. Piper looked at her and cocked an eyebrow almost mockingly.

“I don’t see your name on it,” she replied nonchantly, ignoring the stares she received from the rest of the class.  Veronica slammed her hand down on the desk, wincing as pins and needles shot up her arm.
