"Now, is that anyway to talk to someone who is trying to help you get your son back?"

I sigh heavily and try to make myself seem nicer over the phone with my teeth clenched together.

"Sorry. What do you want Gabriel?"

"Now that is what I'm talking about! You finally said my first name and there were no swear words before or after it. Bravo, Detective!"

"Whatever. Do you have news on AJ or are you just calling to piss me off?"

There's some sort of shuffle on the phone and then I hear Gabriel whisper into it.

"Meet me at the pizzeria down on National Street in an hour."

I pull back from the phone and see that he had hung up. It will take me around 25 minuets to get to the pizza place due to traffic so I jump in the shower real quick and then start getting dressed. I grab my gun, badge, and phone and hope into my car before taking off. I'm nearly to the meeting place when my phone starts to ring again.

"Marsh."

"Hey, Clementine. It's Duck and I was just checking in on ya and seeing how you were doing."

"I'm fine, Duck. Just going out to get something for the house and then I'm heading back to look into more files for any kind of lead."

"You want me to come with? I'm on my break right now."

I frown briefly at his question and I turn into the pizzeria.

"That's not necessary and I can take care of myself. Goodbye, Duck."

I hang up the phone and stuff it into my purse that has my gun and badge in it before stepping out of the car. The pizza place looks a bit rundown and I bet my life that it's struggling with business. I walk through the door and am immediately greeted by the smell of pizza and such. There's hardly anyone in here except for an older couple who are sharing a pizza together.

"Hey, Marsh. Over here!"

I turn to see Garcia waving me over to a booth he is sitting. I walk over with a scowl on my face and he simply smiles back at me as I sit down across from him.

"I hope you like cheese because that's what I ordered for us."

"I'm not here to eat fucking pizza, Garcia. I'm here to talk about where my son is."

Garcia's eyes slightly darken and he drops his smile before leaning in close to me.

"If I were you, I'd be a little nicer to the man that's trying to get your kid back."

I'm about to retort when a pizza is placed in front of us on the table. I look up to see an Asian or Korean looking guy with flour all over him.

"Looks delicious, Glenn. Give my best regards to the chef."

The guy, Glenn, laughs and shakes his head at Garcia.

"I'll tell my wife that your kissing her ass again."

They share a laugh and Glenn walks back into the kitchen. Garcia starts digging into the delicious smelling pizza and I reach to grab a slice to see if it's as good as it smells. He raises an eyebrow at me but doesn't say anything as I take a bite. It's like I was eating a slice of heaven just for my mouth and I had to hold myself back from moaning at the taste. We ate in silence and after we each had our fill, I asked Garcia the question that's been haunting me for days.
