Laura's pov.
I heard my foster dad scream at me "shutup and quit screaming you useless life on earth" i thought it was a dream untill he started choking me and banging my head into the head bord on my bed. Thats when i jolted out of my sleep!! Then i knew it was real and i was going to have bruises again. I screamed stopp!!! Please I'm sorry as i thought to myself maybe if u wouldnt beat me then i wouldnt have thoose horriable night mares and wake up screaming!!! "You stupid useless girl" he spatted. Then he left as soon as i heard my door slam i bursted into tears oh i just want my real parents back and i just want to be happy again. I rolled over and lit the screen on my phone up the brightnes of the screen in my pitch black room almost blinded me. I was going to text colton. He was always the one that could calm me down after something like this. He was the only one that i felt actually loved me we have been best friends since he was in 8th grade now hes 22 and im 17 so that explains he knows every detail about me.

To Colt: he beat me again 😔 can we meet some where?

To Laura : I'm sorry snowflake ❄️and yeah how about the park down the street

Colt lives down the street from me and we always go to the park when he's not working

To colt: ok be there in five

I really need to talk to Colton I've missed him so much he just got back from a tour colton is a sparrow record recording artist and because of that I don't get to see him very often as I climb out my window and start to walk to the park I start to think about how Colton and I met
~Flashback~
It was the first day of third grade and the older kids were being really mean to me see my school is third grade to eighth grade. I'm new to this town my family just moved here so the older kids make fun of me until and eighth grader came and stopped them "hi I'm Colton" the eighth grader told me "h-i i-I'm l-Laura t-hank you for stopping them" I stuttered "don't worry Laura just stay with me and it will all be ok" Colton said to me and ever sense that day we've been best friends

Colton's POV

Laura has been my best friend since I can remember.I just got back from tour and I'll be leaving for another one in January. I really wish I could take Laura with me she really needs the encouragement and I just hate to watch her suffer like this it bothers me that her foster parents treat her like crap she is so much better than that she's amazing, She's talented and beautiful I just wish she knew that."Hey Batman" she said bringing me out of my thoughts "hey Snowflake" "Colton I really missed you" "Laura I know I missed you too I really wish you would come with me on winterjam this year you'll have fun and you won't have to deal with him and we can hang out the whole time" I begged her "Colt I need to finish school I can't just leave, as soon as I'm 18, I'm leaving and getting a job" Laura stated. This girl sometimes I know she has to finish school so she can leave but it would be better if she just came with me so I can protect her "Laura you're my best friend and I love you but right now you're wrong you need to just come with me so you can be safe" I said harsher than intended "ugh Colton why can't you listen they would never let me leave I can't it's physically impossible for me to leave I have to sneak out to go to school you really think I can leave and go on tour with you and him not notice" she yelled whoa Laura just yelled at me she has never done that before "ok Laura I understand let's just pray And talk about what happened" I said calmly "Colton I don't want to go back there not right now I need to actually get some sleep" "okay than come home with me you can sleep In the guest room my parents won't mind" I replied I hope she comes I worry about her when she's at home "alright Colt let's go to your house" "great Laura lets go" I'm so glad she's coming over I don't want her to get hurt anymore I can't stand to watch her suffer any longer.
"You know Laura we could hire a tutor for you while your on tour with me" I said quickly "oh colton you really want me to go don't you" she laughed "Yeah Laura I do" " Colton I would but when we come back from tour my foster parents would literally kill me" Laura muttered "NO Laura they will not I won't let them Laura you are my best friend and I will not let anything happen to you I love you-" I was cut off "they will never stop never colton" she screamed bursting in to tears and put her head in her knees I walked over to her and picked her up and put her in my lap I put my chin on her shoulder and said "Laura stop crying I am here for you and they will not get you from my house because if we have to move for your safety I would move to the moon for you Laura cause I love you, I LOVE YOU so much Laura! I promise not to let anything happen to you so please Laura go on tour with us please I'm begging you cause I do not want you to go through that pain one more day of your life. You are so beautiful and amazing you are so much greater than the words you foster dad tells you most of all you are Gods creation and when He created you he had no intension of you having to live like this so please go on tour with me?" I begged
