Chapter 2

"Hailey?!"

"Hailey?!"

"Haileyyy?!"

"Where could she be?" Rezrnold asks Storm as they both shrug confused and turn to Jon. Jon was standing on top of the body of a xegar.

"These Xegar were forced to be here..." he says pointing to there chains on there necks.

"They are a mixed species of creature specially breed and designed to hunt ghouls like us....we were just lucky these are infants."

"Infants?! Hell they nearly cut off my arm!!" Rezrnold replies with a small high pitch voice surprised ad he rubs his arm.

"Well what ever they are, apparently they listen to Jason and took Hailey" storm tells Rezrnold.

"Wrong, Jason had this all planned. He knew we would follow him to keep her safe, but what he doesn't know is our intentions for her but he probably has worse intentions. He planned to take us here and knew these xegar's lived here and used them against us to try and slow us down so he can do what he wants with Hailey and we must find her if we don't want her to die."

They all nod and begin there search.

Hailey stands up feeling dizzy before seeing Jason standing in front of her as he grand her by her hair and lifts her off the ground making her grind her teeth in pain.

"Aww c'mon it's no fun if you don't scream at least a little" he chuckles cracking his finger as he lifts her higher off the ground.

"Lets see how long it takes your little friends to save you.....that is if they truly are your friends hahahaha" Jason laughs before throwing her back on the bed.

"Your pathetic, if it weren't for your blood I would have killed you a long time ago and them along with you. But you know my new experiments need a specific type of blood and you have it. So don't think your leaving any time soon cause I have this all planned out from the very second I woke up."

'What is he talking about? So this is another trap? They are going to fall right into his hands for trying to saving me!'

Hailey looks at the note that was on the bed and recognizes the hand writing as she smirks.

"Getting cocky now are we?" Jason asks smiling at her.

"If you think your gonna be able to be saved you are gladly mistaken, see I have this all figured out the only thing that can ruin my plans are you." He says leaning against the wall before looking at his watch.

"Your a fool....you think you have me cornered...you think you have this all planned out? There's one thing you didn't plan for....." Hailey laughs taunting Jason as he clenched his fists walking towards her.

"Why you little B...."

Suddenly bullets fly threw the bedroom window putting Jason as he falls threw the old floor. Hailey quickly jumps over the hole and makes a dash for the window as she climbs out. Hailey looks around for the masked man knowing he was the one who wrote the note as she hears the sounds of screeches in the distance and closing in fast.

"Shit!" Hailey runs threw the forest hoping to find a way out of the forest as the screeching sounds of the Xegars close in. Hailey quickly spots a shiny object and figures out it is a bear trap and jumps over it as suddenly a Xegar gets caught in it as it screeches for help.

"Over here!" The masked man yells from a distance at what seemed to be the end of the forest as he waves at her telling her to keep running. Hailey does so as she runs as fast as she could. A stone ends up in her path making her trip over it not seeing it. She struggles to get back on her feet from the mud puddle she landed in as another Xegar leaps from the trees and before she could blink her arm was scratched and bleeding. The blood quickly dripping down her arm as her arm started to go numb. She holds her arm and continues to run as she could feel her heart racing. The adrenaline kicking in making her run faster as she was getting closer to the masked men. He starts to shoot behind her trying to hold them back to let her get closer but the Xegar kept charging at Hailey. Hailey quickly makes a sharp turn behind a tree before jumping off the tree kicking the Xegar in the face as it falls back but quickly gets back up, swinging it's arms around viciously as it snarls at her. She starts to run again but gets stopped by another Xegar landing in front of her as she was quickly surrounded from all sides.

'This is it....this is how I end up. How did my life dive down into this so quickly?....just to end up dieing...'

The Xegars all leap at her as she closes her eyes waiting for them to finish her.

"I'm sorry mother......I couldn't avenge you...but soon.........I'll be with you once again mother...."

The sound of snarls and screeching with the sound of ripping and breaking of bone echo threw the forest making the crows fly out of the forest.

"Get away!"
