I had to fall in love with him?!?!

Chapter 1

Katy's POV:

Hi my name is Katy Rose Daniels (nickname: Kat). I live with my Mom, my twin brother (who's older by like 10 minutes and never lets it go) Jake Kyle Daniels, and my older brother Zackary Lee Daniels (nickname: Zack). My Dad left when Jake and I were 2 days old, I've only seen him in pictures of Him, Zack, and Mom together. My Mom is the best mom EVER! She also just happens to be the coolest. Jake has to be the best twin ever and I don't know what I'd do without him, he's a part of me that NO ONE can replace. Zack just happens to be another story, don't get me wrong I love him but he is always causing trouble ever since he saw Dad a couple years ago. Jake and I are 16 years old, Zack is 17, and Mom is 38. My family and I have just moved to a new city after some things happened last year that the old town would bring back memories of. The new place we just moved into is this two story, sky blue house. The house has 5 bedrooms each with a bathroom attached and a walk-in closet. There is one other bathroom for guests. We moved to Rose Heights, WA, my brothers and I will be going to Rose Height High School. Our first day is tomorrow and today is Sunday. I can't wait to be starting Rose Height because I have always been good at making friends and I love meeting new people, it's just part of my personality. I am sad that I had to leave behind my best friend Catheryn Belle Carter, I'm also going to miss her nut ball twin brother (who's best friends with Jake) Darren Jesse Carter. When we left Catheryn was left crying on the front porch with Darren holding her. I am worried about Zack I know he is going to find trouble somewhere. As I'm lying in my new bedroom on my bed thinking about this Jake comes in and sits down.

"What are you thinking about, Kat?" Jake asks me.

I sit up and look at him, sighing I say, "I was just thinking about before we left, seeing Darren holding Catheryn."

He looks at me sadly for a minute before saying "Kat we had to leave, and you know it."

"I know I just wish I didn't have to leave Catheryn behind that's all. Her and I went through a lot together, you know that."

"I know that, you don't think Darren and I went through a lot too? Besides we're still going to keep in contact and they're going to come up for visits and all that, so please cheer up Kat." He said.

I smiled and looked at him seeing him smile too knowing he won.

"Alright Jakey, is dinner ready?"

"Yeah that's actually why I came up." Standing up and heading to the door he turns around, notices I'm still sitting and says, "Are you coming?"

As I get up to follow him to the kitchen I say, "Yeah, come on."

When we get to the kitchen Mom's trying to carry everything to the dining room so Jake and I go and grab some things from Mom and head to the dining room. Zack isn't in here and I haven't heard from him since we got here.

I turn to Mom and say, "Mom, where's Zack? I haven't seen him all day."

"I'm right here." Zack says from behind me as he picks me up.

I scream and yell, "ZACK! Put me down."

He sets me down laughing. Then goes to sit in a chair followed by Mom, Jake, and I as we sit around the table and start eating. We eat in silence for awhile, well more like they ate and I sat there staring at my food.

"Katy, are you going to eat?" Zack asks me in a soft voice. He knows I'm anorexic and tries to get me to eat whenever he can. So of course he mentions my eating in front of Mom and Jake because he also knows that I don't want them finding out and so to hide it from them I'll eat.

As I take a bite of food, my mom asks, "So are you kids ready to start at Rose Heights tomorrow?"

Jake and I answer my Mom with a yes while Zack stays silent, eating his food.

Mom turns to him and says, "Zackary, are you ready to start Rose Heights?"

Zack looks at Mom than back down at his food and mumbles, "Yeah I guess."

Mom turns away satisfied with his answer. Zack used to be really popular and social. That was two years ago in his Freshman year before everything happened. I miss the old Zack but I still love him no matter what.

Zack looks at me and says, "If anyone tries to hurt you, tell me so I can beat them up."

I look at Zack knowing he's serious and I know he can do a lot of damage being 6'3" and having a six pack.

I tell him, "Ok, but if anyone messes with you tell me."

I know he will tell me, people only make fun of him because they see him as a "loner"/"emo" type boy. I don't blame them with the way he acts and looks. Zack has long black hair with electric blue streaks that cover his right eye, he has blue eyes, snake bites, pale white, he wears skinny jeans and skin tight t-shirts with hoodies over them. He also has scars running up and down his arm that he hides from Mom.

"Alright, well I'm heading up to bed. Night, Love you Mom, Jake, and Katy." Zack says as he gets up.

Jake and I follow behind him after telling Mom we were tired too. As I went to sleep I was wondering what my first day of school would be like tomorrow.
