Chapter 4

Katy's POV:

After Jake left I turned to Zack and said, "Zack please don't tell mom and Jake bout why I did that. I want to tell them. If mom asks tell her that I'll tell her when I'm ready but right now I'm not ready for her to hear it and I don't think she's ready to hear it either."

Zack looked at me for about a minute trying to decide if I was serious or not. Than when he's decided that I am he says,"Alright, so when are you going to tell Jake?"

I thought about it for a minute and decided, "Zack can you send Jake in so I can tell him?"

Zack nods and walks out of the room and almost immediately after he leaves Jake comes in. I have tears in my eyes from what I'm about to tell him and I see him go into his over protective brother mode. He walks up to me and says, "What's wrong? Did Zack say something?"

"Zack didn't do anything. But I think it's finally time I told you why I was bullied. It happened at the beginning of the year last year, there was this guy that I knew, I met him through a friend and later found out he knew Zack. This guy's name was Cole Owens. I really liked him. He suggested at one point we try secret dating and I agreed. Things got really complicated when all he wanted was sex. He started to beat me a little, than one night it got out of control." I pause to catch my breath and look at Jake, I saw him clenching his jaw but I still continued. "He h-h-ha-had de-de-decided th-th-that h-he wa-was going t-o-to ge-get his way. Well he took me to his room and threw me on his bed. He than raped me. After that a month had gone past and when my period didn't come I got worried so I bought a pregnancy test and somehow someone from school found out. That's when all the bullying started, and I quit eating, I had found out I was pregnant and I realized I can't take care of a child. Plus with all the not eating the baby wouldn't get the right nutrients. But Zack had found out, so he took care of me and he still does because all this has been an emotional drag. But that's why people would call me a Slut, whore, easy, and cheap. I hid the pregnancy from mom and had Zack take me to the doctors. I got an abortion, which is not an easy desicion. But dad found out because to get an abortion you had to have parental permission and I didn't want mom involved. I never saw dad but to get him to sign the papers Zack told him the situation I was in. After I got the abortion, I wasn't the same, I was depressed. That was the few months when you and I got distant. Zack helped me out a lot and so when I wanted to talk to him I asked him to let me tell you." I breathed in and breathed out while Jake sat there processing the information. When he finally did he wrapped me in a hug and asked me to never keep stuff from him again and said that he will always protect me. I heard crying and looked over Jake's shoulder. Crap!
