When we got our food, Niall finally spoke. I knew he was going to ask something, but I didn't think it'd be so soon.
"Hannah, would it be too soon to ask you if you've made a decision on anything yet?" Niall asked, unwrapping his burrito.
"No, and I actually really appreciate how much respect and patience you've had during my whole situation. It does really mean a lot. I have made a decision that when I move on, which I am in the process of doing, I want someone like you. Not necessarily meaning I don't want you because you and I both know that I do, but I'm just speaking literally. Niall, ever since you came here, I've been happier. I mean I was happy with James but it's like you and Harry brought some of the life back into me. I can't tell you how much that means to me. So thank you." I said, squeezing his hand.
"So you aren't going to go back to James?" He asked, caution clear in his tone.
"No, I promise you, well mostly myself, but I promise James and I will no longer communicate, not even as friends." I laughed, lightly.
"I'm sorry I kind of rushed this." He said.
"Oh no, don't worry about it!" I said, drinking my Baja blast.
When we left Taco Bell, we ran into Ethan and Harry.
"Hey Harry, you kinda just disappeared on us, what happened?" I asked.
"Oh, I met Ethan, yesterday. Him and I went to Wendy's. Sorry, I should have told you where I was going." He explained.
"No, don't apologize. You're fine." I said.
"Uhh, dude, you could at least introduce us." Niall said.
"Oh, right haha. Ethan, this is Hannah, she's my supervisor, and this is Niall, he is my partner in this whole foreign exchange shit. Hannah, Niall, this is Ethan." Harry said.
Ethan has green eyes, and dark black hair he seems to be at least 6 foot and his stance makes him seem like he's better than you. He's sort of intimidating.
"Hi." Niall and I said to Ethan.
"Hello." Ethan gave an awkward head nod, and a small wave.
"Well, we gotta get to class. It was nice to meet you." I said for Niall and myself, turning on my heel to walk to Mr. Cornell's.
After school, Niall came over. Him and I have never hung out outside of school, so it was a little weird.
"Is this your new boyfriend?" My dad asked.
"Uhm, no he is one of the foreign exchange students I'm supervising. Him and I are kind of talking though." I told him.
"Oh, I'm Mr. Thompson, Hannah's dad. And you are?" My dad extended his hand to Niall.
"I'm Niall." He shook his hand awkwardly.
"Ireland eh?" My dad laughed.
"Yes, sir." Niall said, shoving his hands in his pockets.
"Well, you seem ten times better than James. You seem like a sweet boy, so you have my blessings." My dad said.
"Oh my, Dad!!" I shouted.
"No, it's okay." Niall said waving me off.
"Sir, your daughter has been so kind to me ever since I came to this country. She makes sure I'm okay and content around her friends. She showed me around the school. Hannah is very pretty, sir and yes we are talking, but I want to be more than just her friend whenever she's ready. I have been so supportive of her with her decisions on James, and I have respectfully been waiting patiently. You have a lovely daughter sir. Thank you for your blessings." Niall said.
Oh my, he really is a sweetheart. He's so sweet, I couldn't turn him down even if I wanted to.
Niall's POV:
That was the most nerve-wracking thing I have ever done. That took a lot of strength that I didn't think I had but oh Lord, I care for Hannah that much. I'd have an anxiety attack for her. Actually that's an understatement.
