"More like Snow White..." I can tell she's not entirely conscious yet, and I wonder if she'll even remember this in the morning, or if it will be like a dream to her. My attention is brought back to her when she opens her mouth to say something more.

"But I don't remember her having a guardian angel... Adrien..."

*Marinette's POV*

The last thing I saw before I woke up was a blond beauty by the name of Adrien Agrest. He was keeping me out of reach from Jason, who was trying to attack me. I didn't have Tikki. I didn't have Chat. But I had Adrien, and he kept me safe. The fight replayed from the other day, but this time Adrien was losing and I couldn't move. Couldn't help. I was an undercover superhero who couldn't save her friend from being pummeled, or hurt. Until he came towards me and promised he was fine. Bleeding nose, and ripped shirt. Bruised eye and red throat. He promised me he would protect me, no matter my useless protest. He promised me that I was safe and to trust him. And then... He kissed me.

The first thing I saw when I woke up were bashful dark green eyes, soft, pink, familiar lips, and pink cheeks, lit up from the moonlight coming out through my balcony window. The first words I heard brought me back to every time Adrien had told me hello, and every time he smiled shyly. I wasn't positive I was truly awake, but all doubt in my mind disappeared when I opened my eyes for the first time and saw two halves of the whole amazing, flawless boy.

"Hello there, Sleeping Beauty." He said to me. My shock rendered me silent for a moment as I confirmed my theory, inspecting his face. I bring my hand up, remembering the kiss as a dream, yet I have no doubt it was more then that.

"More like Snow white... But I don't remember her having a guardian angel... Adrien..."

He quickly turns to face me and I look back at him with a smile, questioning how I never saw it before. "What? N-No, It's me... Chat Noir." He smiles forcefully.

"I'm aware. Adrien." I move to sit up and don't take my eyes off of him. I watch as he fiddles with his hands, standing up. "You're dreaming Princess." He bows, attempting to leave throughout the window.

"Adr- Chat, wait, please!" Unfortunately he doesn't and I jump out of bed, running towards the window. He's not far, so I feel confident that his increased ability to hear works well enough for my voice to reach him.

"You're leaving Your Lady." I say quietly as I watch his shadow. With the words said he stops dead in his tracks on a rooftop, not looking back, and not moving forward. "Wait Kitty."

I turn and scan the room for Tikki, When I find her I call transformation. "Tikki! Spots on!" She happily transforms me and i'm out the window in no time. Chat watches me approach with a look of disbelief, and I can't detect anything else. Is he... Upset? Is he happy? Is he disappointed? With each step I take towards him I regret telling him so suddenly, or at all. As I reach him, my feet involuntarily slow down and I stop a couple feet in front of him.

Clearing my throat, I shyly rub my arm. "I... um..." How did I expect this to work? What was I planning to say? How did I think he would react? Why did I do this? What's he thinking? My mind's spinning with questions and fear. Shock- and confusion. What... What did I expect out of all of this...? We're just standing across from each other, starring at one another. Why did I even do this?

**Chat's POV**

I'm frozen in shock and my heart pounds like I ran a marathon. I just watched one of my best friends transform into the love of my life! How... How can this get any better?? Wait. She knows who I am. M'Ladybug knows who I am! And she's happy about it! I can't fight the smile that spreads on my face and I soon realize I'm starring. Oh jeeze. Did I even say anything since she came here? Crap. Say something Adrien!

**Mari POV**

We've officially stared at each other for longer than socially acceptable. I'm not sure how to really leave the conversation but everything in me begs for the shelter of my sheets and covers, and cat pillows scattered along my bed. I fidget with my hands, unsure what to say or how. "S-" "I love you." I'm cut off and the words make me feel both as if I were flying and falling.

"W-What?" I look up at his face and realized he moved closer to there being hardly two feet between us. I feel my cheeks warm and my mind's moving faster then a roller coaster after rain. Did he just say...?

"I love you." He repeats and I feel my blush increase. Maybe it's something in the air, or the headache medicine I took before bed, but something about this moment makes me check that my feet are on the ground. He loves me?

"Ladybug. Princess. M'lady. Marinette. Bugaboo." He rests his head on my forehead and closes his eyes, finding my hands and holding onto them. "I love you." That's the third time he's said that. It's not until he rubs his thumbs across the back of my hand that I realize that I haven't said what my heart has been replying with along with every beat since the words first left his mouth. "I love you too..." I whisper, tightening the hold we have on our hands. The sun is starting to rise and I realize that I've never said words more true in my life. His lips turn up into a grin i'm not unused to, and his eyes open to reveal pools of green. How did I not see past the mask sooner? It's... all so obvious now, with his soft smile, and beautiful dimples, and soft, pink lips... His lips... I take a deep breath when I notice that they're getting closer to my own and the air stills in my lungs.

He kisses me softly and I return the favor, counting the seconds. Seven. Seven before another five. And five before another two, and when we part again I peck his cheek. "I love you." I smile. I watch as his smile returns along with a blush. A blush I've quickly learned to love, and he pokes my nose before replying. "I love you too, M'lady. "
