Steve's POV
I walk into the lab just to see Tony still working. Easter was a few days away, our first holiday all together as a team. We had moved in to the tower in February and I was pretty excited for Easter. Last Easter, we were a little busy fighting aliens to celebrate. That and we barely knew each other. This year will be different. Hopefully.
"Hi Tony."
"Hey Steve. What's up?"
"Nothing much. I was just wondering if you could help me plan something for Easter?"
"Umm why?"
"To get our minds off the stress, ya'know? Just for a few hours," I say as I hop on the desk next to his work. I lean forward, "Please?"
He sighs, "I don't know how it'll blow over with the others but okay. But your the one planning, I will just get the stuff you need. And I'll talk to the others I guess."
"Thanks, Tony!" I say, kissing his cheek before leaving to go make a list.
Time skip of magical proportions
Tony's POVI chuckle. How did I get myself into this?
I walk the aisles of Walmart with Steve's list in my right hand.
Peeps
Eggs
Hamburgers
Hotdogs
Milk
Paper Plates
Plastic Cups
NapkinsAnd my own addition: Bacon.
You would think from the number of supplies, he would be planning a large party. Which we aren't if I have anything to do about it. I'm stressed enough as it is. Having all the Avengers living together in my tower is great, couldn't be happier. But then you have Hulk and Thor fighting all the time, Clint pisses off the Hulk all the time, Falcon is a young adult who knows ten times more than he should, and Nat, well Nat keeps mostly to herself when things go down with a certain three men, something about smelly boys. The upkeep of this family alone makes me bone-tired, not to mention I'm also a superhero, a genius/billionaire inventor, and an engaged man. I'm a busy man that's for sure.
Another time skip (approved by the Ancient One herself)
"Hey baby, I'm home with your stuff!"
"Anything for me?" Clint calls from the living room.
"Are you my baby?"
"No!"
"Then no! I didn't get you anything!"
"Thanks Tony!" Steve calls.
Easter morning
I walk into the kitchen with Steve after breakfast and get out the hotdogs, bacon, and hamburger meat.
I hand the hamburger meat over to Steve, "Would you be dear and grill these Mr. Rogers?"
"Why of course Mr. Stark."
After he goes outside, I take the bacon and wrap one piece around each hotdog. Then I slather each bacondog in barbeque sauce, place on a pan and pop it in the oven.
Time skip that only I can do
Lunch was eaten out on the roof and then we went to the park. They're holding the annual Central Park Easter Egg Hunts and kids all decked out in their Easter best are running around.
A little boy with short brown hair and a little dress shirt and shorts ran past me. A few seconds later, he fell on the asphalt, skinning his knees. I get up and walk over to him. Once I'm there, I notice tears streaming down his little chubby face.
"Are you alright?" I ask softly.
The young boy shakes his head, "The bullies chased me from the playground and now I can't find Aunt May."
"Well, what's your name kid?"
"P-peter Parker."
"Well Peter, do you'll let me help you find your aunt?"
He looks up at me, his eyes wide with relief, and nods.
"Alright, let me tell my friends where I'm going and then we can be on our way, OK?"
He nods again as I help him and as I gently dust all the debris from his knees.
We walk over to the team hand in hand, "Hey you guys, I'd like you to meet Peter Parker. He got lost and can't find his aunt so I'll be back in a little while."
"Ok Tony," Nat replied, "we hope you find your aunt Peter."
"Thank you ma'am," he said shyly.
We walked away from the group and into the crowd. There was so much jostling around that I eventually picked Peter up and put him on my shoulders.
"How are we gonna find Aunt May in all of this, Mr. Stark?"
I'm not completely surprised that someone would notice me, but I am surprised that a young child figured it out.
"Well, I was thinking we go up to the big stage and use the microphone to call your aunt up there so she doesn't have to worry anymore. How does that sound?"
"Great!" he exclaims.
When we reach the stage, I ask the host if we could use the microphone to call his aunt up to the stage. We were immediately allowed to do so.
"Sorry for the interruption you guys, but it would much appreciated if May Parker would come to the stage please."
Ten minutes later, an older woman in her early fifties approached the stage.
"Aunt May!" Peter called. I set him on his own two feet and watch as he runs and hugs her as tightly as he can. Then runs back, hugs me and whispers, "Thank you Mr. Stark!" before going straight back to his aunt.
14 years later
"Tony you're new intern is here!"
"Coming Pep!"
I walk into the adjoining room to meet this new intern that I didn't pick and know practically nothing on because that's just the way Pepper does things.
I step forward, hand outstretched, "Tony Stark."
"Peter Parker."
