These Empty Halls

*Key's POV*

I know I'm a ghost and all but today I'm going to school, but the only reason is because I want to see that boy again, what's his name...ah, Jeremiah! that's the name. I go out of my room and to the left down the hall to my parents room, I go in and see that my dad already left and that my mom is laying in bed and staring blankly at the wall, her eyes are red and puffy and hold no emotion, her face is blank with no color. "Mom, can you hear me?" I say in hopes she can hear me, her eyes widen, she sits up and slowly turns her body towards me, she leans forward and whispers "yes...yes I can."

"Mommy, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to cause you and daddy so much pain." I say tearing up

"It's ok baby, but why didn't you tell us? we could have helped you." she says

"I didn't want to upset you."

"You wouldn't have." she says with a sad smile

"Momma, get some rest, I'm gonna go to school now" I say

"ok." she says laying down and closing her eyes

I walk out the door and make my way down to school, I get to school just before the bell rings. I walk in and it's still the same just when i get to my locker there is a memorial there, there is flowers and candles and cards.

"Everybody wanted to pay their respects" a voice suddenly says

I jump with a gasp and turn around to see that it was Jeremiah

"hi" I say in a whisper looking down

"hi" he says in a whisper

"I just wanted to see how everyone reacted" I say a lilttle ashamed

"it's fine, I wanted to see you anyway, walk with me?" he says smiling

"ok" I say as I start walking with him to his class.

we walk into class and everyone's head turns towards us and me being me I cower behind Jere.

"You're late mr.Rodriguez " mrs. jurgens says

" sorry, I was taking a shit"he says and looks at me with playful smirk, the whole class starts laughing.

"THAT'S IT GET OUT OF MY CLASS, I'M CALLING YOUR MOTHER!" SHE YELLS ANGRILY

Jere starts running down the hall and I run with him, we run out of the building and we contiue running until we get to this big green field, we stop and take a breather

" That was fun." he says out of breathe still

"yeah it was now take a seat" i say taking a seat as well

"ok now that we're here, let's talk" he says sitting beside me

"yeah why did you bring me here and ok" i say curiously

"I brought you here because I want to know..." he says taking a pause, I nod for him to go on with the question and when he does i'm shell shock.

"Why did you do it?"

A/N: i'm not sure if this is a cliffhanger but whateves, I just wanted to get this part up there because i'm on summer break now and I have no friends so i'll be updating more anyway i'll see y'all later bye.
