A teen sighed as he walked through the September colored forest, the crisp air fogging slightly from his breath. 'The weather turns colder faster than it does hot... not that I mind,' Marc thought to himself, smiling as he continued walking to his home, seated deep in the forest. He followed the path known only to him and someone else close to him like he did every day, whistling lightly to pass the time.
'Home sweet home!' Marc thought as saw his home after walking through the undergrowth. A hut sat comfortably on its own, the worn pathway smooth from years of feet and paws. The sound of wood chopping could be heard, making Marc chuckle lightly as he ignored the front door and wandered towards the back, the sound getting louder with each step.
The ax came down right when Marc came around the house, a neat half landing on each side of the stump. "Hey, Tony!" Marc called, making his friend stop. "Hey, Marc! How was school today?" the inceneroar asked, smiling to his trainer with care. "Same old same old," Marc replied, giving him a quick hug, one the inceneroar returned. "Though I have an announcement; I aced my physics test!" Marc said, showing the paper with pride. Tony smiled, hugging his trainer again, ruffling his hair. "See! I told you that you could do it!" Tony laughed, getting Marc to giggle. "Only because I had such a good study partner!" Marc returned, smiling at him before getting out of the embrace.
"You gonna go tell them?" Tony asked, his voice calm as he looked at his trainer. "Yeah. I'll be back in twenty minutes to start on dinner; how does steak sound?" I asked, getting Tony's eyes to light up at the idea. "Yes! Do take your time; tell them I said hi," Tony told him, getting a nod from Marc.
Running to the east, Marc ran and ran, happiness in his heart as he laughed out loud, his backpack bouncing lightly with each stride. The forest slowly thinned out to another clearing as Marc slowed down to a walk, the only thing there were two stones. Toney slowly walked over to the two stones, smiling as he sat down. "Hey Mom, hey Dad. I have some great news; remember the Physics test I told you about? I got an A!" Marc said, holding out the paper for them to see. "I worked really hard in getting it; Tony helped me out in studying by long shot," Marc continued before falling silent, taking hold of his necklace. "I miss you Mom, Dad. I miss you two, so much," Marc said, his eyes moist as he clutched the crystal. "I love you guys, so much. I wish I could see you, just one more time," Marc sobbed, his tears falling now on the two graves, his body shaking lightly.
As if in response, the leaves began to dance in the wind, a warm wind enveloping his body, stifling his tears and setting the sadness aside. "Thank you Mom, Dad. I will do you proud, I promise!" Marc sniffed, smiling in a way one does to there parents. "Sorry, but I have to go now; Tony is waiting for me," Marc said, getting to his feet before running away, his heart lighter than it was before.
Just like Marc thought he was, Tony was in the living room, watching T.V. "You know, watching Food Channel will only make you more hungry," Marc laughed as he walked through the living room. "Can't blame me though; makes me wonder why you are not on it though," Tony replied, getting Marc to laugh with a shake of his head.
-p.o.v. change, Tony-
"Whatever. Dinner will be ready in thirty," my trainer told me as he vanished into the kitchen. I watched him go before returning my attention to the T.V. The real reason why I had the box on was to keep my mind off of a certain, messy haired guy. 'Damn... why does he have to be so... so handsome?!' Tony thought, leaning back with a heavy sigh, closing my eyes. 'Those beautiful blue eyes, that perfect skin- and his scent! Oh, Arceus!' Tony thought, moaning lightly. 'How I wouldn't want more than to strip him of his clothes, show my love to him for the kindness he showed me all those years ago' Tony thought.
