A teen laid in his bed, sighing as he looked up at his room ceiling, bored. He rolled over on his side, hazel eyes looking at his alarm clock. '12:30' it read, making the wolf sigh again. 'Augghhh,' the wolf thought, sighing. 'Can it pass by ANY slower?' he thought to himself, crossing an arm over his eyes. Jordan had been laying in his bed all day because he just couldn't find anything to do. Hell, even his phone had lost its interest!
"Jordan! The phone is for you!" a voice called from the kitchen, making Jordan's ears perk up. "Coming!" he called back, rolling out of bed and leaving his room. His paws padded silently on the carpeted floor, his fur a bit ruffled as he took the phone from a silver she wolf. Giving his mother a gentle nod as thanks, Jordan spoke into the phone. "Hey Jordan! I was wondering if you wanted to hang out," a voice said, making Jordan's tail stiffen for a second before the Wolf smiled, leaning against the counter. "Sure Nate! I could really use the entertainment actually; life is so boring over here," Jordan replied, getting a chuckle from the other end. "I bet; I'm glad my mom is letting me invite you over. The silence is deafening over here too," Nate replied with a sigh, getting a chuckle from Jordan in turn. "Alright. I'll be over in a hour, k?" Jordan asked, smiling gently. "Sure! Though, ask your mom if you can spend the night; it might be late when we finish hanging out," Nate suggested to Jordan before he hung up, getting the wolf to smile as he did the same. "Hey Ma?" Jordan called as he walked into his room. "Yes Jordan?" his mother, Lisa, asked from her room. "Mind if I spend the night at Nate's place? He invited me over to hang out," Jordan explained, getting a backpack and throwing some clothes in it. "Sure; call me when you want me to pick you up," Lisa told him, getting a chuckle out of Jordan as he replied with a "Yes Ma,".
Soon packed up with his things, Jordan slung his pack over his shoulder and told his mother he was leaving. "Bye hon; see you tomorrow," Lisa told him, giving him a quick hug and peck on the cheek. Jordan smiled, waving to her as he walked out of the door, his mother closing the door behind him.

Popping in his headphones, Jordan began the walk to Nate's house, his best friend not living too far he couldn't walk

Popping in his headphones, Jordan began the walk to Nate's house, his best friend not living too far he couldn't walk. The sun was warm as he walked on the sidewalk, a few clouds dotting the sky like fluff balls. Selecting a song at random, he smiled as he listened to the beat, singing along with a familiarity that came from singing it for years.

More than just a dream

Jordan did what he usually did, changing the lyrics to as he saw fit, smiling as he thought of a certain lion.
