The Date

Onyx's POV

I storm out of bed, happy for the first day of Percy and I's relationship. My mom yells upstairs asking what the noise is, "Nothing mom!!" I yell to her with a big smile on my face. I quickly run downstairs and eat breakfast before giving my mom a kiss and running across the street to Percy's house. I knock on his door.

"I've got it Mom!" Percy yells and walks downstairs to open the door. "Oh hey Onyx!"

"Hello!" I yell up at Percy as he kisses my cheek with his backpack on.

"I'm heading out, Mom!" He yells.

"Ok sweetheart don't forget to be back in time to leave!" She yells back as my ears perk up.

"Did she say 'leave'?" I ask Percy in a quite and worried voice.

"Yeah we're leaving for a vacation during break." He tells me with a shrug.

"Can you stay behind or can you guys have me go with you?!" I ask him so scared to him why.

"Why?" He asks.

"W-What does he mean?! 'Why'" I think to myself and then tell him, "Because I don't want be here alone, I want to stay with you." I tear up slightly and quickly hug him.

He hugs me and kisses my forehead for assurance, "I won't leave you Onyx, you're too important for me to just leave." He stares into my eyes, calming me down.

Much more calm, I respond, "Thank you, Percy." I hug him tightly while resting my head against his chest.

He hugs me back and whispers to me, "You're coming with me." He says before lifting me off of the ground and carrying me to his bedroom. "I'm bringing you with us."

"Wait no! You can't!" I respond, "I have to stay or my mom will kill me!"

"Then I'll tell her that I had to bring you!" He sets me in his bed and kisses my cheek.

"You know she won't believe you." I tell him with a bit of concern remembering that Percy likes to sometimes go all out in his 'master plans'.

"Then I'll convince her into believing me." He tells me to calm me down.

"Fine but only because I love you." I blush and rest on his bed pushing down the clothes in his suit case so he can close it completely.

"Good boy, now just sit there and look pretty for me." He teases and finishes packing up.

"I was already sitting down, Percy." I tell him jokingly.

"True, but you'd still do everything I say, right?" He asks with a smirk on his face.

"I don't know, maybe?" I tease him with a slight smirk on my face. He pats my cheek and smiles. "Just finish what you're doing so we can get something to eat, I'm starving." I tell him, rubbing my stomach.

"Ok fine, just wait outside or downstairs. He tells me. I nod my head and run outside excited as I sit down on the stairs.

"I wonder if this is gonna be our first date." I think to myself while smiling. I hear footsteps behind me as the doorknob turning makes my ears twitch. Percy walls out in a suit and tie, "I never known you to be a suit and tie type of person." I said.

He glares at me and rubs the top of my head between my ears "well you also haven't known the part of that wasn't a jerk to you all this time."

I smile and hug his arm from beside him as we walk down the sidewalk as if this was completely natural for the both of us, my mind goes crazy "where are we gonna go out to eat, should I be dressed up?"

Percy looks down at me and noticed that I'm panicking a bit as he squeezes my hand a bit to reassure me "calm down you'll be fine, we're just gonna eat and then walk back so I can ask your mother if you could come on vacation with us

I smile as the day continues "things can only get better from here" I think to myself as we walk into the distance holding hands
