Chapter 4

Ling POV
I wake up to the side of my beloved Lan. She's so cute, she was cuddling up to me in her sleep. I check the time. I guess I have to go now, duties and such. The actual crowning of me becoming emperor is today and I'm gonna be a better emperor and make changes for my country for the better. I put my uniform on. It's so stuffy but whatever. I kiss Lan's forehead. "Morning sweetheart." I say to her. "Ok I'm up I'm up..." She stretches and yawns adorably. "Love you too." I reply to her. And no we didn't do anything we just fell asleep from the exhaustion of walking down the hill to the palace. She changes to her usual outfit.

"Heya bro bro!" I see Mei standing there. "M-Mei!? W-What are you doing here!? Shouldn't you be with Al training or something!?" I say to her kinda annoyed she would be here. No one can know about our relationship just yet. "Sooo~" She says pointing to Lan in my room grabbing her weaponry and gear. "Did you two-" She says smiling smugly. "No we didn't! But we're together now, happy? Look... don't tell anyone, ok? It's a surprise for the celebration today then the party afterwards at Elric's place." I tell her. "Oh Kay. Cya bro bro!" She says waving as she leaving our quarters.

"Who was that Ling?" Lan says behind me. "Just Mei." I tell her, kissing her on the forehead as I tickle her. "Heheh stop it Ling!" She says in between laughs. "Ok ok." She says. It's about 6:30am. "Let's get something to eat before we head to the ceremony." I tell her. "Ok future emperor of Xing." She replies to me. "Whatever you say, future empress of Xing." I reply kissing her.

~ after a huge breakfast later to the ceremony since Author chan doesn't wanna stall~

The ceremony. Long story short, I basically proclaimed all the things I said earlier after being named emperor and made peace with all the clans, apologising about tradition but every heir should be allowed a chance to choose their own destiny as rulers of that clan. I also proclaimed to abolish the same status couldn't marry law and as emperor I will do my best to fight for our country. They all seemed shocked at first until a roar of applause came along. Lan smiled at me. She threw several kunai around hitting several targets checking the area for spies. She managed.

After the ceremony, familiar faces approached us, The Elrics, Winry, Mei, Aria, Dante and a few others. "Hey Ling!" They said to me. "Congrats on the Emperor thing dude." Dante says to me. "Yup! I'm Dante's sister and these are my friends, Zoey and Zora." She says as they wave hello. They were twins I assumed. "So let's party!" Ed says carrying a brand new automail in his hands. "Ok ok! Be careful Ed!" Winry says to Ed. "Haha ok brother let's head to Resembol. We could stay there for the night." Al says. "Fine with me!" We all agree.

~Time skip to Resembol ~

"Ahh home sweet Home!!" Ed says. "Pinako is out tonight so it's just us." Winry says. "We have three rooms. So maybe two on one bed?" Al says. "Oh I call dibs on the couch!" Aria says. "We brought sleeping bags." Dante, Zora, Zoey and Rose says. "Me and Lan can share a bed." I say casually. The whole room goes 'ooooooooh'. "Shut it! Not like that idiots!!" I yell back, my cheeks slightly pink as Lan turns dark red. "Since me and my prince are already engaged we'll that the room." Mei says hugging Al. "Me and armed could too." Winry says. "So you really love me Huh?" Ed says cockily. "Shut up! Says the guy who did that cliche marriage proposal!!" She yells back. "Winry!!!" He whines. "I already cooked some food so dig in!!" She says placing the feast before us.

~ a few meals later ~

"Cmon girls, we gotta get some pjs! I have extra!" Winry says motioning the girls to come over. Lan waves a small bye to me, I wave back. Then when the door closes, Ed approaches. "So Ling what's up with you and Lan? You guys together yet?" He asks. "Why it of your concern?" I ask back. "Cause I saw you guys cuddling on the train on the way back. You were a pink mess!!" He says laughing. "Shuddap!!" I yell blushing. "We're not official yet..." I murmur. "But you like her right? Like how I love Winry." He says seriously. "When exactly did you lose your manhood?" I ask back. "I could say the same!" Ed yells back. "So brother how was your trip in the West?" Al asks innocently. "Well Nothing Out of the ordinary I guess..." he says sipping some hot cocoa. "Yeah in the East I came across a certain prince spoonfeeding his bodyguard and continuous flirting~" he says nudging me. Ed chokes on his hot cocoa. "BAHAHAHAHHAA!! Really Ling!? I knew you liked her but not this much!!" He says laughing. "Alphonse why did you tell him that!" I yell super embarrassed. "Cause you were all 'I love you more than the world~'" he says initiating me. "SHUT UP MY FLIRTY!" I yell at him. "Oh that reminds me how's the engagement?" I ask. "Great! I'm happy for us, because she's happy and she allows me to getting kittens!!!" He yells. "Whats up." Dante says coming in the living room. "Wanna get some snacks? As in Ling not too much though she'll notice." He says. "K." We reply.
