Jev or so I thought. This Jev seemed shorter and had even bigger muscles. I mean Jev was well built but this guy was huge. He could be in the NFL as a lineman or something of the sort. This guy had broader shoulders and a thicker midsection but he had Jev's high cheek bones and dark eyes. Only this guy had a menacing glint to them.

"I am not your Jev. I am his older brother, Drake," he said in a menacing tone.

"What are you doing?" I asked. I took a step back to put some space in between us. This caused Drake to growl and show his wolf through his eyes. This guy had power but I wouldn't let it affect me.

"You should never run from a predator, that will only cause a chase," he told me in a growl. "I would expect my brother, your mate, to teach you such things."

"How do you know?" I snarled.

"A little fly told me." He was mocking me now.

"What are you doing to your own pack members?"

This guy took two steps closer and growled in my face. "They are not my pack members. I am alpha of my own pack!" His eyes were golden from his wolf. He tried taking another step towards.

"That's close enough buddy!" I held stuck my hand out pushing him back slightly. He was surprised from this and took a moment to say nothing. Then he surprised me, he laughed. I was expecting something more like a burst of anger or maybe even violence.

"No wonder my brother likes you, you have courage. That is only going to make your breaking more entertaining. Now!" he yelled out and immediately I was surrounded.

They were werewolves in their human forms and they had me in a tight circle. I tightened my hand around my bracelet and waited for them to attack first. They did not disappoint. All at once they pounced on me. I stood ready and had my bracelet transform into a long silver staff. I used my martial art skills and threw back anyone who dared come close to me. I was like a mixture of Jet Li and Jackie Chan from the movie the Forbidden Kingdom. No matter what the wolves did, they could not come any further than the length of my silver staff.

"What do you want with me?" I yelled angrily at the watching Drake. He seemed fascinated in me, or at least in the way I fought. I whacked another wolf out of my way. "What do you want with your former pack members?" I whacked another one.

He pushed himself off from the nearest tree he was leaning on. "Revenge of course. What else?" he asked as if it was obvious. "Use the net." He turned his back on me and walked away just as a huge force knocked me from behind making me land on my stomach. The part of the net that touched any exposed skin burned like acid.

I struggled to stand up but the pain was too intense for me to get up. The wolves all lifted up one part of the net to reach me. As soon as the net left my skin, I ran out from the net and started running. I heard growls and others following but louder I heard Drake yelling. "Victor! Stop her and erase everything until the moment she saw the witch!"

I wondered what he was talking about when I felt a presence in my head. Before I could try to remove it, my mind went blank and I fell to the ground. I felt my memories spinning backward until all I saw was Jev's face until that too was gone.

"Valora. Valora wake up!"

I shot up and looked around. I was back in the pack house laying on a table. It was in the meeting room. They must have put a table in here for me. But why a table. I looked down at myself and saw burns all along my arms. My shirt was torn in some places and I had cuts in random places on my abdomen.

"What happened?" I asked putting a hand to my head. It hurt badly for some reason. The last memory I had was facing the weird creature/witch. Than everything was blank.

"Valora what happened?"

I looked to see a worried Jev standing next to me. "What are you doing here?" I asked him. For some reason I felt like he should be somewhere else. "I thought you were-you were." I couldn't finish the sentence because I didn't know how to.

"What are you talking about?" I looked up at him to see his confusion. I looked around to see the alpha dude and two others. One seemed very familiar. Well, one reason he looked familiar was because he looked a lot like Jev but different in some ways. He was shorter but more muscular. I felt like I knew him. I pointed a finger at him accusingly.

"I know you. I don't know how but I know that I've met you before. You better tell me or I'll make you sing it," I growled. I was not going to play any games I wanted answers for my amnesia.

"Valora how do you know him? He's the alpha of the Blood Wolf pack and he's my older brother, Drake. And next to him is his beta James," Jev wrapped his arm around my shoulder. His touch gave me comfort but I was so confused my head hurt, literally.

"Hello Valora," Drake gave me a head nod. I squinted my eyes in suspicion. This felt oddly familiar to me. A headache, amnesia, confusion, and the feeling like there was someone in my head. This had to be, had to be, had to be THE WORK OF A FALLEN ANGEL!!! It finally came to me. I jumped off the table and looked around the room.

"Valora what are you doing?" Jev asked. I ignored him and surveyed the room. It had to be in here somewhere.

"Where are you, you stupid son of a bitch?" I asked yelling.

"Valora what are you talking about?" Jev tried touching me but I backed away still looking around. He growled and followed behind me. "Valora?" He sounded angry. I looked at the smirking Drake and next to him was the beta. He looked fairly young. He was well muscled and very handsome.

I can hear you, you know.

Get out of my head, I told Jev and giving him a look.

I don't try to. When your emotions are high, I can hear them clearly like your speaking.

I blocked my thoughts and continued looking at James. His eyes were blue and they looked ancient. He was a lot older than he looked. We had a staring contest. He didn't seem threatening like a wolf would when you looked him in the eyes. Him, it was him.

I charged him and pulled him away from Drake's side. "What are you doing?" Drake demanded coming after me. I threw James against the wall. Up close I could feel the power radiating off of him like a smell. He fought back but I over powered him easily. I yanked his arms behind his back and held them there.

"Jev hold your brother. He's going to try and run away when I reveal this," I told him. I felt that same weird presence in my head but I fought it out. I entered James mind and changed a few things around.

You don't want to resist. You want to sit down and act calmly. No matter what happens you just want to sit down.

James relaxed under my hold. I was able to let go of him and he sat down on the ground and stared up at the rest of us.

"James what are you doing?" Drake demanded angrily from behind both his brother and his father. He was so strong it took both of them.

"I just want to sit down no matter what happens," came James monotone response. And that's what he did. He just sat down.

"What have you done!" he growled angrily trying to come at me.

"Valora, you better have a reasonable explanation for this."

"I do. Your brother has been associating himself with a fallen angel and has been plotting his revenge against this pack."
