I growled at him before stepping into the castle-like mansion. "Let's get something straight here mister, I'm the soon-to-be Alpha, OK, well, I'm actually going to be Luna - BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER. What matters is that I'm the Alpha female of the Silver Moon pack." I stopped, flustered. "OK, I'm not really Alpha female, yet. My eighteenth birthday isn't until a few months from now, but I - what am I saying? My age does not matter in this situation!" Glaring at the sexy guy in front of me, who was staring at me, smirking, I stopped and tried to restart. "Just show me to Alpha Aaron, you, you...person."
Someone must've heard my fail attempt at a rant because another guy came down the stairs. He was well built, tall with dark red hair that went past his ear. His bright, green eyes looked at me, surprise evident within them. "Who the hell are you?"
"Batman," I deadpanned. "What the hell are you?"
Red Head (you see, if I don't know a person's name, I call them "*insert color of hair here* Head) started laughing at my Batman comment and replied, "You meant 'who', right? The name's Stone, Jason Stone."
I grinned back, ignoring Blonde's growl -what was his problem?- "No. I meant what. However, since you answered truthfully, I'll tell you my name. The name's Bond. James Bond."
Jason laughed some more before saying, "Collins, I like her, can we keep her?" He looked over to this Collins and I saw that he was standing there with his arms crossed glaring daggers at Jason. If looks could kill: R.I.P. Red Head.
Jason noticed the look of fury directed at him and asked nervously, "What the heck is wrong with you, man?" Blonde didn't answer though, he just stood there, glaring. They were probably using their pack mind link because, after a while, Jason looked at me with a sheepish grin and muttered a quick, "Sorry."
"Red Head," I asked, "where is Alpha Aaron? Blonde over there wouldn't tell me."
Both of them turned to me, but they didn't answer soon enough. Instead, a voice from the stairs did, "Why are you looking for him?"
I turned to the stairs, but I didn't see anyone there. Looking around, I finally noticed a man around my father's age standing at the base of the staircase. He looked like the older version of Blonde, the exception the hair. "Are you Alpha Aaron?"
He narrowed his eyes at me, showing curiosity, "Depends on who's asking. Who are you, may I ask?"
With his gaze on me, I suddenly felt uncomfortable and replied stiffly, "My name is Taylor Gale. I am the daughter of Alpha James, Alpha of the-"
"-Silver Moon pack," Blonde interrupted, his eyes wide and staring at me in, was it awe?
"Stop that!" I whine. "What's up with this pack and interrupting me? First those two guards and now you! Haven't your parents taught you manners, let me finish a goddamn sentence once in a while, for fuck's sake!"
The three men looked at me, surprised at my outburst.
"My, my," the older version of Collins chuckled, "looks like you've got quite the handful here, Grayson."
Grayson? My wolf finally spoke up.
I looked at the two younger guys before my gaze rested on Jason. "Please, tell me you're Grayson and Jason is just a middle name or something."
Grayson Jason Collins is the stupidest name I've heard, my wold added.
Fitting for the Alpha-to-be, I snapped back.
He shook his head, his hand muffling his laughter and at that time Blonde growled out, "I'm Grayson." Turning my head, I noticed that Grayson's eyes were even darker now, a sign that his wolf was taking over. This was a huge mistake, coming here. Oh, why did I have to come here? Now everything is super awkward!
I BLAME YOU, I accused my wolf.
Me? She said, sounding outraged. You came here! She argued.
It was your idea! I countered.
Just hurry up and leave! She huffed.
Fine, I grumbled.
"Well," I swung my arms by my side trying to ignore the awkwardness, "I'm screwed." I looked at the old man, he must be Alpha Aaron then. "It was nice seeing all your wonderful faces, especially your's Jason," I winked at him and he winked back causing a growl to erupt out of Grayson for some reason (maybe he could sense that I was planning to steal his friend), "but, seeing how I'm only a seventeen-year-old girl surrounded by old guys who could possibly be professional rapists, I'm leaving. Bye! Oh, but, before I forget: Alpha James said the alliance is on, his daughter somewhat agrees with the plan so I'll see you guys later! Bye for real this time!"
I abruptly turned and made a break for it, the last thing I heard was Red Head asking, "How can you be a professional rapist? Do you get, like, classes from other rapists? That's horrifying to think about."
I'm pretty sure the last thing they heard from me was my laugh echoing through the house.
