‘Woah, what is this place?’ I heard Harry breathe from the backseat.

‘Where I grew up!’ I answered, feeling giddy with excitement.

I pulled up and got out the car, shooing the boys beyond the gate. Once inside we would be safe.

We walked towards the building, huge in structure with thousands of windows - tinted, of course, to match the black brick. I marched to the front doors and I greeted the guards with a friendly smile. They simply nodded back and let us through.

‘Not very secure.’ Liam said.

‘It is normally, they’re just expecting us, that’s all.’ I replied, looking around at the entrance. So many memories.

‘Sorry, did you say expecting us? Louis asked, perplexed.

I didn’t get time to answer because a tall Atar leaped forward, transforming mid-air back to human.

Black hair, blue eyes and a muscular body.

‘4 Delta, welcome home!’ he said in a husky voice.

I grinned and walked forward ‘Always knew how to make an entrance, didn’t you?’

‘4 Delta?’ Niall asked from behind me.

I turned around to see them, shocked and amazed.

‘That’s my trainee name. Lucy is my human name.’ I smiled, beckoning them forward.

Hesitantly, they shuffled up to my sides and stared warily at the man before us.

‘This is 2 Alpha, my old trainer.’

‘Alex.’ He corrected me.

I raised my eyebrows and he shrugged. 2 Alpha, or Alex, had trained me for years. Firm but kind, he was the reason I had survived so long.

‘Do you know what’s happening?’ I asked him, all too aware of the answer.

He frowned at me ‘Yes, it’s a worry. We’re taking in new recruits daily so hopefully we will be ready.’

Niall stepped forward in between us and looked at me expectantly, he then glanced at Alex and back.

‘What is going on.’ He emphasized every word.

I looked at Alex and he nodded.

‘I have to go see The Elder, Alex will explain everything.’

And with that I turned on my heel and walked away.

I was glad to leave; I couldn’t stand telling them everything. Not again.

I wandered through the hallways, up stairs and through empty rooms. It was like coming home after a long holiday.

Finally I came to the door, hand carved from smooth wood, it was the most beautiful door I had ever seen. I pushed through it and there he was. His tail was thin but his eyes, bright yellow.

He nodded at my presence but didn’t look directly at me. Instead he closed his eyes and was quiet.

I stood patiently, waiting for the verdict.

Soon enough, he opened them and turned to me.

‘They will come, within ten days, a battle will commence.’

My whole body turned to stone and I stood, waiting for more, but he simply turned away.

I backed out of the room and made my way downstairs.
