(Rainbow Dash's P.O.V)
I heard a knock on the door. Who could that be? Nopony in this town knows me except for that orange mare. But she can't fly- she's an earth pony. I crept toward the door, uneasy, expecting a total stranger. But when I opened the door, I saw a hot air balloon, and I looked down to see the orange pony looking up at me, cheeks pink.
I fly down to ground level, and she lowers the balloon so that she comes to be at eye level with me. She hops out. Her cheeks turn red, and she digs in the ground nervously with her hoof, just shuffling around.
I decided to start the conversation. Maybe sehe's just shy. "Hey. i'm Rainbow Dash." I say. She looks up at me. "I'm Applejack." She says. I blush a slight bit. "I like your accent." I say. STUPID! That's not gonna make her like me! But, I notice her blushing slightly. "Thanks."
I go ahead and talk some more. "So, you live here, huh?" I ask. She nods. "Yup. Sweet Apple Acres. I ain't ever movin' either. If I did, I wouldn't be fulfilling my destiny. My cutie mark represents that I'll always be a hard worker on the farm." she explained. I mile.
"Cool. My Cutie mark represents that I'm good at flying. Really fast. In fact, I came to this town to traiin for the wonderbolts." I say She looks surprised. "The wonderbolts? That advanced air team? And you're training for 'em?" she asked.
I nodded. "I'm one of the fastest fliers in Equestria." I say. As if to prove my point, I flash into the air and fly up as fast as I can, doing a sonic rainboom. I slowly flutter down and we get deep into conversation.
