8:00p.m.
I knock on the door.
They should be here! Georgie tells me. The door opens and a women in her early 40's stands in front of me. She looks..so much like me. Or..I look so much like her.
Hi. I let my tears go down my cheeks and smile.
Um..who are you..? She asks. A man stands behind her.
I'm..Lacey..your daughter! There faces go pale. A tiny child appears behind them. My smile fades away. Who's that..?
This is...our..son. My mom says. She holds the boy into her arms.
You need to leave..NOW! My daddy yells. He try's to shut the door, but Georgie slams my foot in between. I scream.
I want to say hi to my...BROTHER!!!! Georgie opens up the door with my hands. He hurts my daddy. Then, my mom. They both lay on the ground, hurt.
What's your name..? I kneel down to my brother. His eyes are so green.
Leo. He says.
I'm gonna take you home, okay? I smile and pick him up.
Alright.
I carry him out of the house. Georgie shelters us from the sounds of the cops.
I guess the neighbors called them.
