FOUR'S POV

Chapter 2

Tris and I head to the gym since that's our first class. She heads into the girl's locker room and I head into the boy's locker room. I come out before Tris.

I'm wearing some some black and neon orange Nike Roshe Runs with Nike Elite socks to go with it. Then for my shirt I'm wearing a neon orange tight Nike muscle shirt. Our school doesn't really have a dress code. I start walking to the bleachers as more boys start coming out of the locker room.

Tris finally comes out. Her P.E outfit consists of black shorts that are mid-thigh and a tight mint green workout shirt, topped off with some tennis shoes.

"Okay class!, listen up we have a new student!" Coach Amar says. "Please introduce yourself."

"Okay. Um hi, I'm Tris Prior. I'm from California. My favorite sports are, gymnastics, soccer, volleyball, and football. I also do combat and karate," She explains thoroughly.

That's a lot of sports, I think.

"Okay thank you Tris. Would you like to kick a football for us and demonstrate your gymnastics?"

"Okay sure. Can I have a football?" She asks Coach

Coach Amar hands her a football after he grabs one from the storage room in the gym.

She kicks really high and far! I bet she could make it on the football team!

"Now I'm gonna demonstrate my gymnastics skills."

She starts by doing a round off back handspring back layout. Then she starts doing a front handspring to a front tuck into a front full! Then she salutes while everyone cheers.

Don't ask me how I know the names of the skills she just did...

"Okay class run 5 laps I'll be timing you. GO!"

At first I'm ahead of everybody. Then I catch a glimpse of a mint green figure. Tris?! Dang, she's athletic. I'm on my 5th lap whilst Tris is also on her 5th. She finishes with me right behind her.

"Wow,Prior that's a district record! Your time was 4:44. And for that's a record for you to! Your time was 4:46. Good job guys." Coach Amat tells us.

Once everyone is done running we all head back to the locker room. We change back to our regular clothes. Then Tris and I head to science.

Science was a blur. Ms. Matthews just talked about what we will be learning and her expectations. She also asked Tris to introduce herself. She said the same things as she said in gym.

I wait in line with Tris, her in front of me, waiting for our food since it is lunch time.

"Get the cake! It's delicious. It's called Dauntless Cake." I tell her excitedly.

"Ok I'll try it." She asks for a chicken sandwich and ketchup. She also ask for Dauntless cake.

I ask for the same thing, but with an extra slice of cake. What? The cake is the best thing I've ever tasted, especially for school lunch.

Then we head to our friends table. "Who's that?" "This is Tris. Tris this is Christina, Marlene, Shaunna, Lynn, Will, Uriah, Zeke, and Al." I say pointing to all of them. Al's eyes linger on Tris.

"Hi Tris! We should TOTALLY go shopping today!" Christina says. Always a shopper, I think to myself.

"Yeah sure, I guess." Tris says. I can tell she doesn't want to go to the mall.

"Now try your cake!!"

"Okay calm yourself, child!" We all laugh. She takes a big bite of the piece.

"OH MY GOSH. THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE BEST THING MY TASTE BUDS HAVE EVER TOUCHED." Then stuffs more in her mouth. We all stare at her.

"What, I can't be the only one acted like that when I first tasted this cake!" "Touché." We all say. (A/N: THAT RHYMES!)

Then the lunch bell rings.
