The one hour drive passed faster than expected. Since my thoughts always traveled back to my dream.

That dress. That ball. This wonderful garden and then how he stood there and looked at me.

How would the dream have ended if my aunt had not awakened me? Would he have kissed me? My first kiss in a dream is not what I want, but the idea of how it would be, does not get out of my head.

"First we have to get more fabric for your mother and me." My aunt explained our shopping process and I nodded. We got off the bus and headed for the city center. There is a small boutique where an old lady sells material.

She knows my family very well, since she lived in our village back then.

"Oh dear, I haven't seen you for a long time." she greeted my aunt and I hugged her after that.

Our purchase did not last long and we said goodbye to her again.

Next we went to the supermarket. There is more here than in the small grocery store in our village.

"Be careful with those eggs!" Aunt Lussinda warned me and I rolled my eyes. "Auntie I know."

I put the eggs in the cart and looked around. "Aunt Lussi, i'll be right back." I said and she called after me "Yeah, go get your favorite chili sauce."

Laughing, I went to the sauces. She knows me too well. She knows for sure that I love this chili sauce.

When I was little, my father ate everything with this sauce. He always wanted it to be at home. It used to be in our grocery store. But at some point they stopped selling them, so I always get them here. Always.

When I arrived in front of the sauces, I only saw one bottle of chili sauce on the shelves. Just one !

Immediately I went to it.

But just when I wanted to reach out for it, another hand came before me. Our hands touched and I pulled mine back. Angry about not getting it in time.

When I looked at the person holding my beloved sauce in his hands, my breath caught. I met his blue eyes and looked at them for a long time. He smiled.

"Here." he said and handed me my beloved sauce. I did not accept it, which he saw. "A girl who eats chili sauce? You rarely see anything like that." he laughed and finally handed it to me again.

"Here take it, I can survive without it." I accepted the sauce and smiled. "It's nice to see you again." I said. My cheeks turned red.

What's wrong with you? My inner voice said.

"It's also nice to see you again." his answer took the nervousness.

"How come we both like the same chili sauce?" he asked with a grin on his face. "My dad, he ... he raised me with that sauce." I laughed.

Then he frowned. I looked at him questioningly, waiting for him to say something. What he then did.

"That explains why my dad raised me with it, they must have been eating it together." it seemed as if he remembered something and his features changed. He looked sad.

"They both must have had a great friendship." I said and he nodded.

"Klaus?"

He looked at me and I did not know how to get out with the words at that moment. He said what my mind was thinking "Is there something you want to tell me or not?"

His laughter filled the whole supermarket with joy.

"We can share the chili sauce?" I said, which sounded more like a question.

"Is that supposed to be an invitation to dinner?" he asked with a grin.

"Yes, yes it is, you're welcome to visit us, Mysterious friend of Caroline." my aunt suddenly answered from behind me.

Since when is she here? And did she hear everything?

My aunt introduced herself and said she had heard a lot about him.

"Aunti!" I whispered angrily. This whole situation was embarrissing to me, but Klaus does not seem to get botheed by anything. He smiles at my aunt and they both talk.

Before I knew it, she had already invited him to dinner today.

We may as well expect the worst.
