Chapter 1 - The Birth of a Hero

The birth of a hero is like any other birth. However they were strange. For the baby, not anyone else, there was something only they could see. A spirit. It was there for a few seconds. It smiled and left. This happened to 3 different babies. But the spirits they saw were different aswell. Usually, a child doesn't remember much about their lives until their a bit older. This was true for them but this memory always stuck with them.

If you compared these children to other children, they acted very different to them. But they also acted different to each other aswell. One of them was obsessed with punching and kicking stuff. They did it to everything no matter what it was. They were never injured either. One of them knew how to speak fluently in any different languages. They were always calm and they always seemed happy. The final one... was a strange one. He was always exploring new places. There was some days where he didn't even come home and he camped out. Even in the most dangerous of places.

Every child was told of an event that apparently took place many years ago. However there was no evidence to prove that it had happened. Many people thought that it would happen one day but it had not happened yet and others believed it to be false. The story went something like this.

"Hidden away somewhere in this vast world, are 3 symbols. Each represents one thing. Strength, Discretion and Assurance. Each symbol was meant to be possessed by one person. It was possible to gather all of them which would bring destruction to the entire world if the user was of an evil heart. One of a pure heart could open a gate to a realm filled with evil and banish anything they desired there. This power was used long ago to seal away an evil that threatened the entire world. When a boy was 14, he left his home village in search for the Fire Symbol. This symbol represented strength. Strength got the better of him and corrupted his soul. After this, a young girl went searching for him. On her way, she found the Nature Symbol. This symbol represented Discretion. When she found the boy, he was a completely different person. He was obsessed with power and killing anyone he hated. He was so obsessed that he destroyed his home village and only two of the people in the village survived. The girl and a different boy. This boy set out on an adventure to find the Water Symbol before the other boy. He found it and fought against the evil that now had both the fire and nature symbol. He was killed and sealed away to the realm of evil. The boy and the girl went searching for a different village after putting all the people that died to rest."

The 3 children were encouraged by this story. They became friends and they always invented different plots that resulted in the hero defeating the villain. This is the beginning of their friendship. But it won't be long until it reaches it's end.
