The Legends of Nachi

Chapter 2 - 8 years later

The children were all 10 years old now. They were all meant to be at school but they were walking together a long way away from the school or even their village. One of them had said there was a ninja around that was planning on killing everyone in the village so he was looking for them so he could stop them.

This boy was well prepared. He had a sword swung across his back as well as a bow. There was a quiver of arrows next to his right thigh and he had a shield that covered his sword and bow. He was wearing a blue tunic with the symbol of the kingdom they lived in, Nachi. He was given this as a gift long ago. He also wore dark grey trousers. His shoes were as shiny as a star in the night sky. His hair was as light as the sun.

There was a girl and a boy behind him. The girl kept a bit of distance between the boy. She wore a yellow shirt and black joggers. Most of the time she walked outside barefoot and this time was no acception. Her hair sparkled in the sunlight as did her light blue eyes. The other boy was... confusing to say the least. He was kind of scared even though he had shown formidable power before against non-moving objects. He was wearing a black tunic which a lot of people hated him for it as this was the clothes of  the villain that lived only  ago. He had a pair of dark red trousers on. He had dark hair that was as dark as a moonless and sunless sky.

"I bet there's no ninja around here, is there, Takeo?" Asked the boy who was scared.

"I swear to god, Yamigo. Do you ever shut up? If they spot us it'll be your fault!" Takeo retorted.

"Well if you hadn't forced us out of school, we wouldn't be in this mess!"

"I never forced you out! You two followed me!"

"Will you two just shut up already!" The girl yelled.

"Sorry, Chika." Takeo responded.

"Wow. Are you really apologizing, Takeo? Apologies are stupid and they do no-" Yamigo was dragged down behind a bush by Chika. She covered his mouth. All 3 looked forward at a suspicious man.

The man spoke. "The Akuma Clan will be happy when I destroy this village. It's the wish of the evil that threatened the world to destroy this village and anything that is a part of it as the hero once lived there." The man looks at a horse. "Well I need to test my skills on something and I need a good lunch."

Takeo rushed forward onto the horse before the man could get it. He got on the back of it and calmed it down. The horse circled the man so Takeo could shoot at him with his bow. The man changed his clothes into the uniform of the Akuma Clan in less than a second. Takeo aimed it at the man. He fired at the man but the man dodged.

"What are you doing kid?! Why are you firing at me?!" The man asked.

"Don't be stupid. You know why I'm shooting at you." Takeo said.

"You're just a kid! You don't stand a chance against me!" The man ran up close to Takeo. Takeo got his sword out quickly and tried slashing at the man. He just barely hit him. The horse continued to circle the man. Takeo kept shooting from a distance. The man ran off to the south which was where the village was located. Takeo chased after him whereas Chika and Yamigo ran back to the village to warn everyone.

Takeo followed him for an hour. The ninja made his way to the village with Takeo on his tail until they were close to the village entrance. Takeo was hit and struck down. The horse fell aswell. Takeo didn't give up. He walked into the woods near Nachi waterfall. He took the horse to be treated.

Meanwhile, Chika and Yamigo made it back to the village. A teacher from the school was outside the building.

"Where on Earth have you two been? And where's Takeo?" He asked.

"Well Takeo walked out of the village and we followed him to see where he was going. We were then attacked by a ninja and Takeo went to fight him on his own. The ninja is a part of the Akuma Clan." Chika told him.

"T-The Akuma Clan... T-Takeo will die..." He told them. Yamigo and Chika stood in shock. They couldn't believe it.

"Are you sure...? No... You're not sure! He'll live through anything! Takeo is the bravest person I know!" Chika asked.

"He's more likely to die than live... I'm sorry to have to say it..." The teacher responded. The bell for the end of school rang and kids of all ages came rushing out to their parents. But no one was allowed off school premises because of the risk of the ninja. 5 minutes after school ended, the ninja entered the village and approached the school.

"Well well well. What do we have here? A school full of worthless students who will never amount to anything. Oh! And among those are the two who were with that pesky kid that tried to attack me. Don't worry about him. He's gone now. He knows that he can not stop the Akuma Clan." The ninja said as he drew a weapon ready to attack the school.

Just before he attacked, an arrow shot past him. Everyone looked to the direction the arrow came from and someone with a black hood was sitting on a horse at the village gate. It was impossible to see his face. The horse slowly walked over to the ninja as the person on the horse drew his bow. He shot at the ninja again. This time, the ninja ended up on the floor. As the teacher stared at the hooded boy more, he realised how this was something from the legends.  The ninja also realised this as the boy got off the horse and drew his sword. He slashed the ninja and then stood above him.

"The legends... Could they be true...? Please don't kill me sir! I beg of you!" The ninja begged. The hooded boy had no mercy and stabbed through his heart. As soon as this happened, the King of Nachi arrived at the scene.

"What's going on here?" He asked.

"That boy just saved us." The teacher said. Some of the girls and even some boys from the school were already in love with him and wanted him to date them. The hooded boy got on his horse. He looked Chika and Yamigo in their eyes. Chika and Yamigo looked back, unable to see his face. He then proceeded to ride away on his horse to the southern village gate.

A few minutes later at the northern village gate, Takeo appeared. Chika and Yamigo rushed over to him.

"You're okay?!" The two asked.

"Yeah. Some hooded guy helped me out. Next time I see him I'm gonna thank him for it!" Takeo said with enthusiasm.

"Really? He just killed the ninja from earlier!" Yamigo added.

"Did he? This guy's impressive. I'd love to see it in action!" Takeo added. And so the 3 headed home for the night. And that was just the start of this story. This was the night where this tale begins.
