Mount Cang Wu was a place where legends were made and battles for unpaid debts were claimed fairly and without retribution.  It was as sacred to their people as Kunlun Mountain and it was for this reason that Mo Yuan chose to finish what had been started the day of their wedding.  And though she had annulled their marriage with the same intent, for Mo Yuan it was not enough, he needed closure for everything that had followed.   It had to end this way or there would be no tomorrow for either of them, that elusive sunset that Chang Shan had tried to convey.

Mo Yuan had battled many times there, and all of them were settled by the end of it, and as far as he was concerned, this one too would find closure.  Now hovering in the air, he faced her with his sword fully extended while she looked beyond him towards the stone formation just off to his left.

With her gown billowing in a swift breeze about her body, to Mo Yuan she looked beautiful,  powerful and being exceptionally knowledgeable, this was one fight he knew would not be an easy one and he was excited for it to start as much as he was angry for the reason they were there.

Looking back at his own robes that were lightly billowing out at the hem, he too looked just as fierce and formidable as he was beautiful.  She was not naive to think that her magic alone would win her this battle, because he was war hardened, he knew everything about her, her musical magic and most importantly how her mind worked.  To her, he was also her perfect match.   Keeping her sight just off centre, her peripheral vision kicked in which allowed her to see even the most subtle of movements which a focused sight would miss.

Though if he noticed, he did not react to it, he would readjust his movements to the flow of their fight, which was how he fought.

"When this is over, can we start from the beginning Mo Yuan?" she asked softly as his eyes darkened.

"When this is over, I will name the terms." he replied leaving her in no doubt, that regardless of who won the battle, the result would be on his terms, and the cold dark eyes that stared back at her only heightened her awareness as he suddenly flew at her.

Instantly she released his tone with a short spell, then forcing it into the sleeve of his gown that held his sword, she latched on to every movement he made and with an upward thrust she met his blade with resounding force.  No matter where his blade was, she was ready for every single thrust and with her peripheral vision off-center, she was able to discern every subtle movement he made, regardless of where he was or what he did.

Blocking every single one of his thrusts, their bodies spun wildly about the mountain as Mo Yuan unleashed a round of sword moves only he knew, but having managed to only create a small tear in the sleeve of her gown, he increased the speed of his attack.

Spinning wildly, the fluidity and gentle flexibility of her body met every strike.  Flashing his sword downward, hers automatically came up to throw it aside with ease.

But Mo Yuan was fast losing his temper, because she was only defending herself and that was not why he had brought them there.

"FIGHT BACK!" he roared as his powerful arm swung the blade down which she merely deflected with a powerful strike of her own.

Choosing to ignore his demand, she continued to merely deflect and defend while allowing him full reign to take the battle in whichever direction he wanted to take it, she would only ensure she did not die again.

But when he unleashed a full round of every sword move known, she barely managed to keep his blade from slicing into her, but even that wasn't enough to have her fighting him back that in the end, Mo Yuan threw his full body weight at her.

Capturing her in his arms, he spun her body around so her back was pulled into him tightly.  And with one arm forcefully keeping her sword at her side, his other hand grabbed a handful of her hair and yanked her head back so hard she cried out from the sudden sharp pain.  He knew he had to make her angry enough to fight back, because he knew she had already conceded to him the moment he withdrew his sword.  If she thought they were there to merely swing their swords about until his anger died, then she was very much mistaken.
